I have seen about half of the episodes, I was so sure that it was an old, old series (despite the current date for 1st broadcast) that I looked it up thoroughly.
I am baffled - this could have been made in the 70s-80s, there is no strong underlying theme to a program, nothing new and no insights. With the impact of climate change on ecosystems I expected this series to really focus on this perspective on each type of 'wonder', it is mentioned in a stew of old-fashioned 'isn't this amazing' waffle. Their focus on the the greatest natural wonders means that most watchers will have seen it all before - if this time had been spent finding 'nature's least known wonders' at least the novelty would be rewarding. Now if they combined that with a deep thread of the changing environment they might have a hit on their hands. (It is more fun if you compete to spot the cliches first - nose flutes = South America for example.)
Very disappointing, Keith Morgan
