Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023)
Who green lights this utter dross
I had high hopes for this. I'm now on episode 6 and I literally cannot continue, who on earth green lights these awful TV series at Apple, just like Invasion this is equally as boring and dull, it has no redeeming qualities. Do the writers not realise the utter trash they're rewriting?
And I am absolutely struggling to write 500 characters on this.

Maid (2021)
All men are evil, apparently
Every single man in this tv series is portrayed as bad, with no redeeming qualities. And no exception. All men are evil is the theme of this show.
Whereas every women who is initially portrayed as bad always always redeems herself, and all other women are portrayed as good.
This tv series shows a hatred and contempt towards all men, it is sexist, it is misandrist and the writer clearly has an agenda to profligate her view.
A horrible show, I regret watching it, a man hating, sexist piece of work. Avoid.
You'll probably enjoy it is you're a single mum on benefits.
Travelers: U235 (2017)
How did they know?
Well that was a bit uncanny, how did they know? Oh, of course they're time travellers. But seriously I'm watching this episode now on the 29 May 2020 and it's scary how many parallels there are with the current pandemic.
Dracula (2020)
A new take on Dracula
A very good TV series from the BBC, up there with high production value American TV. 1 episode in and I'm enjoying this a lot more than His Dark Materials.
Black Summer (2019)
Plagiarised and boring
Well that's 7 hours of my life wasted on this garbage. They copied the walking dead in which when you die you become a zombie. It's cheap, poorly written and oh so boring, actors are okay though
Camelot (2011)
Oh Dear, oh dear, oh dear
Being currently enthralled and excited by 'Game of Thrones,' which is airing now, I had high hopes for this.
And being a huge fan of the very over acted but great John Boorman 1981 'Excalibur.' I really couldn't wait for this.
And boy was I disappointed. What were the producers thinking??? Arthur is horrible. Completely miscast, Bower is too feminine, too wimpy, and a wholly ungifted actor. His performance is tedious, two dimensional and draining. In scenes with Eva Green he is getting cooked alive. It made for some very uncomfortable viewing. Chanel 4 what were you thinking buying this.
The writing, too simplistic, more suited to a child's version of the Arthurian legend. Flat, flawed, 2 dimensional and hammy to the bone.
Even Joseph Fiennes performance is lacking, he is too intense, trying to portray this mysterious Merlin but just ends up coming across as a ham.
Eva Green is the best thing in it, although the over acting bug seems to have affected her too, but not as much as the rest of the cast. Although she does come across as playing it too evil.
It looks good, but that's about it.
Not a patch on Game of Thrones, which has solid acting, believable characters and strong writing. Stick with GoT and give this one a miss.
The Tale of Despereaux (2008)
Don't waste your time
Thats 2 hours of my life my and my younger brother will never get back. Looks very pretty, so hats off to the CGI crew. But oh my god what a boring, tedious, an unconnected story. Its confused, I didn't feel empathy for any of the characters, and the story is shallow boring and uninteresting, I was very surprised to find that this was based on a novel. But what it's lacking more than anything is humour, it's just not funny at all, good animated movies are always funny on many levels, this is funny on no level whatsoever. I think I may have sniggered once in the films entirety when there was a reveal of a certain characters ears. And that was it.
It unbelievable to me that professionals get paid mega bucks to to come out with this dross, I could do better. Who on earth green lit this project? It's like they were trying to copy Ratatouille which is a fantastic animation. This film is dire, it's pathetic, it's a waste of time and I want my money back. Go see Bolt instead.
AWful!
Meet Dave (2008)
Why such a panning?
Hilarious film, more than made up for the not so funny Norbit series. I can't understand how a lot of professional reviewers are calling this the worse movie of the summer.
Eddie Murphy is sublime, fantastic comic acting, and it's got a pretty neat story, if you want a feel good movie that's going to make you laugh out load constantly then see this one and forget about all the reviews its attracted. It's refreshing to see that a lot of people who have posted recently on this movie seem to agree with me.
It's like 'You don't mess with the Zohan' two critically slated movies that the movie going public seem to find hilarious, are these professional movie reviewers so out of touch that with what the people think? If they aren't representing the general consensus and advising us not to watch films that we would otherwise love then they really need to look getting another career.
If you like to laugh don't miss this or 'You don't mess with the Zohan'
Children of Men (2006)
No other film is better than this
This has got to be the best film in existence. The acting, the dialogue, the cinematography, the script, the music, the lighting the direction are all unsurpassed and combine to make the most excellent film I have seen.
I have never ever watched a film more than once, and I'm an actor, I'm currently watching it for my 8th time, and its true, a lot of people say it, but every viewing brings something new that I've missed in the past.
I'm an actor and am currently writing a film, and would dearly love to write a film even half as compelling as this one. This movie really did touch my soul, I will remember it forever, the future in the film is so well realized that the sense of involvement and escapism is unsurpassed. You really feel that you have just visited another world when when you finish watching this movie. A lot of that is to do with the fact that it's done in single shots with no close up, you feel very much like the voyeur, like your there. When the terrain is rocky the shake of the camera conveys that as it moves through the terrain.
It's polished. It's brilliant, I love it! 'See it wasn't that bad.' 'Not for you'
Mission: Impossible III (2006)
Awful
The worst most gruelling 2 hours in my life. Awful re-hash of a tired formula, spent the whole film wishing it was over. Didn't care about any of the characters, was hoping Tom Cruise would die, had no empathy for him at all. Some class actors were in it, but awful script and awful tedious boring story. Box office sales say it all - 'over the hedge' has made more money and deservedly so. If this is the best Hollywood can do than they're in for some rough times. What wrong with original exciting new work instead the churning out the tedious uninteresting sequels that they do, wasting the vast array of talent that they have at their hands. Stop at the first film, this film was so bad it makes me angry and I wish i could get my £6 back, they don't deserve any of my hard earned cash. No wonder so many people have taken to illegally downloading their movies, it's not worth risking your hard earned cash on watching a turkey!
