A quick review.
5 August 2023
The camera was shaky and sometimes irritating, the plot was basic and boring, the side love story was forced and boring, the main antagonist was less interesting than the targets and the fight scenes and action sequences was dull and unimaginative. The first and last parts of the movie was boring. The middle was more fun.

If the movie consisted of more of Jason Statham be like hitman from the game "Hitman" then the movie would be more fun. They should've focused more on the hitman part of the story and showed more care and detail to that side of the story.

Other than the potential, of a cool action hitman movie, was the movie boring, predictable and you have to suspend your disbelief while watching it. Jason Statham plays the basic action Statham role.

Tommy Lee Jones played at least a somewhat funny character.

They should've fleshed out the other characters more, dropped the side love story, changed the main antagonist, and focused on the hitman stories of the highly planned assassinations of high profile targets.

Love This!!
26 August 2022
I really love this movie. This is that sorta movie I could watch back to back to back, and still want more. Nothing for me falls flat. To see Christopher Lloyd as a badass action hero and Bob Odenkirk as the former badass wanting more, is just amazing. After seeing haha funny men like Bryan Cranston and Adam Sandler take on drama roles and killing it I was just waiting for some more. And this gives me just what I wanted. Every actor does their job perfectly from the villain played by Aleksej Serebrjakov to the neon character played by Bob Odenkirk. The film is basically a Polar, Hardcore Henry and John Wick mix. Taking the action and brutality elements from all and taking the story from John Wick and flipping it on its head. The hero is no longer this killing machine who wanted out and a ordinary life, and when they got the ordinary life they loose everything and come out from retirement. These are hero's who want action, who need action and lust for it. This is the hero that begs the villain to follow after him, the hero who rather wanted to keep the ordinary life, wanted to escape back into the ecstasy filled world of action. What else is there to be said? The movie is shot, directed and choreographed perfectly. The fight scenes are fluent and bear weight as every character and elements around them is used. The brutality is on full display and we see fights that actually could be plausible instead of normal Hollywood crap. All the actors are perfect and do their jobs magnificently. The humor lands and the plot keeps you entertained the whole way. The soundtrack is lovely and I could listen to the end sequence song all day "Don't let me be misunderstood" by Nina Simone. In conclusion: It's Saul Goodman, RZA and Doc Brown kicking bad guys in John Wick fashion, what's not to love!?

WandaVision (2021)
6/10
Disney ruins
16 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The start of the show is great, with intrigue in what's going on and questions around everything. But as the show progresses the Disney fingers wraps around the shows neck and throws it into the same pit as the new Star Wars movies. Elizabeth Olsen is a great actor and she does a great job, but the writers did her dirty. The last episode is some of the worst television I've seen. It's just another boring CGI fight, the villain is boring and the real villain should have been punished. And who's the real villain? Wanda! Director Hayward was right. Wanda is the villain and he gets punished for trying to do his job, save innocents. Wanda traps a random town and tortures them into a state of puppet behavior. They even state they are hurting because of Wanda. And still she is treated as a martyr. A hero! I haven't seen Pol Pot treated as a savior for his torturous reign. A dramatic comparison, but one to illustrate a point. She was the villain and the line "They'll never know what you sacrificed for them" is one of the worst lines to ever grace our ears. It's like saying to Ted Bundy "They'll never understand the hard work you put into this". It's ludicrous. As said, the show started well and the acting was good for some characters, but the writing deteriorated and the last episode was a gut punch, a ball twister, a head smashing disaster. Do I recommend it. No not really, I don't see what the positive reviewers are saying. But like all other things, there will be people who will like this. But this, like so much else Disney has put out these years, is a rotten apple with an golden exterior to make you bite.

Why? Disappointing mess.

The Hunt (II) (2020)

Not my cup of worms, but fun
5 June 2022
The story was interesting, and the first sequence in which we could only guess who the main character was, brilliant. But when we came to the main character I felt she was maybe a bit bland, boring in a sense. Betty Gilpin, the actor for Crystal, did a fine job, but still I didn't feel super invested with the character. The dialogue felt either brilliant, such as with the rabbit race scene, and other times cringy. I liked how the director and writers used stereotypes and the flawed two-party system in America to show how they mark each other without even knowing them, and sometimes the dialogue fit that brilliance. While other times it fell flat down on the pavement. The villain(s) was all just mediocre, nothing special, nothing to point out, it was just bad rich people wanting revenge on the "have nots" who took away their jobs. They just didn't make sense and the portrayal was mediocre, perhaps because of the screenwriting. The humor was a blending mess, either really funny or not. The raw power of Crystal (Snowball) was superhuman. She just lifted up a man weighting around 110-120kg onto a moving train, and the last fight scene she threw Athena around like rag doll. I guess a tour to Afghanistan makes you superhuman like Captain America. And can we talk about Sgt. Dale, and how he gets his ass kicked in easily by Crystal, while Athena gets multiple takedowns on Crystal. It's stated that Athena had been training for 8 months. Ok, good, but isn't a soldier like Crystal still a better fighter, she was in the military where the average service is around 4 years. What? A trained soldier vs. Another trained soldier is a fair fight, and should be a difficult victory when putting in account weight difference. And the final fight was just kinda bland and disappointing. But enough rambling, all I wanted was some better fight scenes. The movie was average, it had highs and lows. But the lows are easier to spot, because it's obviously easier to be negative and harsh then positive and uplifting. But I see some shine in the dirt. It had polish, good effects, good shticks, good script at times and mediocre characters. Would I recommend it. Yes. Why not? It's fun.

The Batman (2022)

Pretty good
7 March 2022
Ever since the trailer first rolled I have waited, ever since the first talks and rumors I have waited. And after that wait, a long wait. We have been gifted and our wishes been answered. We was given a 3 hour long of delightful, well acted and greatly produced film. Never once did I think of looking at the clock, never once wondered I how long until the credits rolled. It was an entertaining ride the whole way. The main villain , Riddler, was very well portrayed and I'm looking very forward to seeing him again. Making him similar and taking inspiration from the Zodiac killer was a clever move, and the costume design was, while not comic accurate, a fine fit for the movie and character. I personally view it more as his first suit, and as his crime spree kept going his flamboyant behavior increased. Next I want to touch on the costume design. Magnificent. Just so good. The bat suit was made to fit reality and looked the part. Also I thought they made huge improvements from the previous Nolan movies, in which the suit seemed almost too plastic and latex. It seemed to stand to much out, and felt sometimes cartoonish. But with Pattinson's suit, they used materials in which we would see a real vigilante use, leather, Kevlar and fabrics. The world they built in this film gave the right Gotham feeling, and not the typical New York type beat feel like in the Nolan movies, and also wasn't over the top gothic like in the Burton movies. And I liked the inclusion of places like the Iceberg Lounge. As said I felt the characters was greatly performed. And Robert Pattinson did an amazing portraying a damaged and towering Batman. The writers was smart enough to understand that Batman's presence is more telling then loud words. So many things have come to together to create this amazing flick, and I would highly recommend any person to view it in the cinema. The acting, sound design, directing, casting, and cinematography was all great. A worth while watch for anybody.

Batman Ninja (2018)

Nonsensical Eye Candy
7 December 2021
The artwork and animation are of very high grade and gave a promise of a new and interesting take on Batman, maybe like Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, but the artwork was just a mere façade. A broken promise. The plot is nonsensical, dumb and is no Batman story. The voice acting was far from the greatest, and the idiotic mechs just sealed its fate for damnation. I came in with hope, even though the title in of itself is rather dull and simple. The artwork seemed great, and is great, the designs are interesting, but the story is unbearable. The writers and director obviously have no experience, nor any idea of who Batman is. They directed the movie almost like some Power Rangers movie. As said the animation and art is fantastical, but the script, plot and story does not compare in the slightest. It had promise with a new and interesting take on Batman, with an extremely good animation department, but it did not deliver (sadly). This could've been a blast.

Flawed, yet enjoyable
6 December 2021
The writing and acting is far from perfect but fit this Indie Slasher flick. There's a ton of fun to be had with this movie, and is yet another great throwback to the great slasher era of the 80s. The most important part is the kills, which are creative, with the choose your weapon type ordeal after every kill. The stalking scenes are good, plot is easy to follow and does not drag out, and the twist at the end is interesting and well twisty. The characters are a bit shallow and well not very likable. Which I suspect is done by purpose so that we will of course joy at their demise and root for the final girl. Still they sometimes get rather nasty to each other, sometimes irritating and other times it's a bit fun. Lastly I want to state out that the camera work is competent with some rather artistic scenes here and there, for the most part with the blood scenes, creative camera work on the kills and some just plain decent to good shots. The movie isn't the worst Slasher out there, and if you're into Slasher's I would recommend giving it a watch. It's a rather fun watch, but it is not the best Indie movie out there. Still it has it's charm and enjoyability.

A great deal of fun
19 November 2021
An intriguing television experience with stellar performances, and interesting plots to be had fun with. It's not a world breaker for storytelling nor a dramatic masterpiece, but is it trying to be? No, but it gives a fun compelling story, with interesting well-acted characters and depth where it needs. The comedy might not be for everyone but hits where it needs to and hits well. The series dwells between serosity, comedy, and drama. But never crossing that line from comedy to drama, but rather entails and entertains the ideas of drama. The lead actor, Herman Flesing, might give out one of the finest acting from Norway's comedic scene. Showing a great deal of showmanship and variety by playing multiple different characters. Giving them all depth and intrigue, and the series a great deal of fun to be had. It's a worthwhile watch, with the episodes no more than 15 minutes long. With a fun script, interesting characters that keep the plot alive, and a cast giving it their all. What more is there to ask for in a comedy series.

Uncut Gems (2019)

Uncut gems is the Sandler movies we need
27 August 2021
Adam Sandler is a great actor, with magnificent possibilities, but has lately been in quite the dose of low grade comedy movies. This movie is chaotic, yes. But isn't reality chaotic? Life isn't this perfect hero story with clear ups and downs and right and wrongs. This movie has life and shows how cruel life can be and shows the chaotic life of this hustler. The movie has one of the best acting 2019 had to offer, great cinematography, magnificent score and fine knitted cast with awesome chemistry. Story wise it does not break believability and keeps you hooked from the first 10 minutes. A utterly must watch, but I must say that even though it is a magnificent work, it's not for everybody. It is a loud movie, still it's worth every minute it takes to watch it and rewatch it. This is how you cast Adam Sandler.

Breaking Bad (2008–2013)
10/10
As close as one can come to view perfection
9 August 2021
Everything from the subtle details, to the unmatched writing and the perfect cast, to the very beautifully shot scenes. It may very well be the best Tv-show out there. The story, even with some creative liberties, is well grounded, believable and feels very real. The show, unlike others, ages like fine wine. The more you watch and the longer you sink in the better it gets. I can think of few series which grow stronger and better every season. It's not only worth sinking your teeth into, it's worth eating. Breaking Bad is a timeless piece and it will stand even long into the future, and will forever be one of the best Tv-shows to ever come out.
