Hereditary (2018)
Fine, but could be better
For a whole hour I've been wondering if it's even a horror movie. I think they could've made the build up much, much shorter. After that hour, things finally started to get interesting, but then at some point things were getting weirder and weirder to the point you begin questioning whether everything really happened. In the end, you'll probably say "what the **** was that?!"
I think that this movie had a lot of potential but it could be done much better.
Maybe non-horror fans would like it, but as a horror fan I'm not impressed.
I Feel Pretty (2018)
A little funny but that's about it
She should have noticed that she is still wearing double sized clothes.
Other than that- nice try at making a movie about a slightly fat woman feeling good about herself. I bet if she was even fatter than that, let's say about 300 pounds, the movie would be much more awkward.
But there were some funny moments. So it wasn't a complete waste of time.
Session (2011)
What the hell was that?
Seriously, I didn't get any of this. Eden had some dreams that turned into reality or whatever the hell was that. Was she supposed to be mentally ill? Was she supposed to be on drugs this whole time? What was the point anyway? It didn't make any sense.
The general idea is that the psychiatrist was obsessed with his patient and eventually killed her, but it was poorly executed. The dreams are ruining everything. I guess they tried to give this odd and mysterious feeling, but it just... it didn't work whatsoever.
I gave it a 3 because I suppose it's a decent drama. Not so much of a thriller.
Happy Death Day (2017)
Horrible! Not in a good way!
Whoever is responsible for the categories of the movies should remove the horror, mystery, thriller from this movie because this is just a stupid teenage drama!
If you're expecting a good horror movie- this is not it. Not even close.
Unfriended (2014)
Pretty awesome
I don't get all the hate, really. I thought it was very creative how they used a computer screen to show the story.
Sure, it didn't have the most surprising story or surprising ending, but it was entertaining. Very entertaining.
I can't really review the horror aspect of it since I practically never get horrified or scared while watching horror movies, but it definitely had its own charm.
The way the computers are being hacked- it was not even close to how computers are hacked in real life. At least, I guess so based on my own knowledge. I'm not a hacker. So if you can't stand such a flaw and if it would just annoy you the entire time instead of focusing on the movie itself- then it's probably better not to watch it at all.
Other than that- if you're looking for some entertaining horror flick then go for it. This is a good way to spend your time. Trust me. I've seen enough terrible, bad, awful horror movies and this one is not one of them.
The Good Neighbor (2016)
What a thriller. NOT
Such a waste of time. Seriously. I could watch a better movie. Not only there was absolutely nothing thrilling going on, the entire time I hoped for those stupid teenagers to drop dead. Also, the court scenes were absolutely pointless. They didn't contribute to the plot whatsoever. The plot twist- nothing surprising nor shocking. Whoever was quoted in the trailer that said "would make Alfred Hitchcock proud"- please kill yourself.
All in all- a terrible movie. Well, at least I didn't pay for it.
Paranormal Activity (2007)
One word: LAME
It was a very, very, very boring movie to watch. You're seeing the couple lying on their bed for about 20 minutes (if not more that this) and then when you think you're about to fall asleep, suddenly there's a slight movement and you have to be really quick to notice it! Sometimes, there is actually NOTHING going on and yet you still get to see the boring bedroom! And then, you get to see "creepy" stuff going on like the Ouija board is being set on fire or the main female character acting weird (which are not scary AT ALL). I mean, what kind of a horror movie is this? I think the next "Scary movie" should include a parody on this one. that would be hilarious!
