Corpse Bride (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride"
Tim Burton is a very weird and interesting individual. With movies like Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, Edward Scissorhands, and Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, he creates movies that are visually stunning, weird, funny, touching and heartwarming. Here, he takes an old folk legend about a nervous groom and turns it into an animated film. Here, we are introduced to Victor Von Dort (Johnny Depp), whose parents are making him get married to the wealthy Victoria Everglot so they can inherit her family's fortunes (Emily Watson) whose parents are making her get married to him to inherit his family's fortunes. Victor is very nervous on his wedding day and goes into the woods to practice his vows. He tries it on what looks like a stick, but turns out to be the hand of The Corpse Bride (Helena Bonam Carter) and he has just proposed to her! She takes him down to the Land of the Dead and prepares to marry him all the while, he is pining for Victoria and planning to return to her. The voice actors did very well here and changed their voices so that you couldn't even recognize them and the visual effect were astounding. All in all, a good little animated musical family film.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas"
Henry Selick has directed some great funny animated movies such as Mokeybone, and James and the Giant Peach. So when he teamed up with Tim Burton, they made a great animated classic. Much like Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, Tim Burton's The Nightmare before Christmas has been a Halloween/ Christmas tradition for many years, thanks to an imaginative and funny script from Tim Burton who wrote it. The plot is as old as time: Jack Skellington (Chris Sarrandon) is the skeleton King of Halloweentown and is getting tired of the same old routine every single year. So one day while taking his ghost dog Zero, he stumbles upon the door leading out of his world and into Christmastown. Not knowing much about Christmas he decides to bring Christmas to Halloweentown and in the essence destroys the holiday for every one, all the while trying to save his girlfriend Sally the Rag Doll (Catherine O' Hara) and Santa Claus (Edward Ivory) from the clutches of the evil Ooogie Boogie Man (Ken Page). Over the years this has become an animated classic among kids and adults and has been celebrated throughout the years. The voice talent is great and strong for this movie and keeps the plot flowing. The animation and visual effects are great also. All in all, a very celebrated Halloween/ Christmas animated musical family film.

Dumb and Dumber (1994)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Dumb and Dumber"
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are two very funny men and together create one of the Farrely brothers greatest hits. They take a great title and no concept and turn it into an adventure- comedy. The plot is well dumb, Lloyd Christmas (Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Daniels) are two childhood friends who are struggling to open their pet store specializing in worms, that they will call I Got Worms. One day Lloyd takes a women named Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly) to the airport so she can go to Aspen, Colorado. As soon as Lloyd sees her he falls madly in love with her. Little does he know that she has left some ransom money at the airport and Lloyd saves the day by picking up the money. Harry and Lloyd decide to go to Aspen on vacation and take the money back to her and on the road to Aspen, chaos ensues. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels make a great creative team along with the Farrely brothers and they play off of each other. As for Lauren Holly, she does great with what she is given. The movie kind of drags a little bit in the end, but ends well. All in all a comedy classic.

The Mask (1994)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "The Mask"
Jim Carrey is one my favorite actors of all time. He is great and very funny and has made a lot of great films and career choices. One of them was The Mask. It is one of the movies that got Carrey started in the acting business. The plot is simple and outlandish. Stanley Ipkiss is a too nice pushover bank clerk in Edge City. After one of the worst days of his life he comes across a mysterious mask, owned by Loki, the God of Mischief. So now when he puts on the mask, he becomes a crazy romantic. When he starts to fall for the girlfriend of the local mob boss (Cameron Diaz, in one of her first roles). The mob finds out about the ancient mask and are out to find it. The group, which is led by Dorian Tyrell (Peter Greene). So Stanley has to save the day and get the girl. The acting and visual effect are all very well done and probably some of the greatest at the time. Jim Carrey heads the movie very well with supporting help from Cameron Diaz and Amy Yasbeck. All in all, a great comedic classic that should go down into visual effects history.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Rewiew of "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang"
Shane Black, writer of the Lethal Weapon movies. Robert Downy Jr., ("Ally McBeal"). Val Kilmer, (The Doors). Mix together for a funny comedy- action romp. The story is simple a crime noir plot. A petty thief named Harry Lockhart (Downy Jr.) is running from the cops "last Christmas" when he runs into a movie audition and lands the role of a lifetime: a detective. So in enters Gay Perry (Kilmer) a real life detective, who is assigned to give Harry detective lessons. So Harry and Perry begin to examine a murder investigation. When the case makes a U Turn, Harry, Perry and Harry's girlfriend Harmony (Michelle Monaghan) may all be in danger. It's up to Harry and Perry to save the day and bring the murderers to justice. Shane Black did very well directing his first movie and I really loved the way he used chapters, as in a crime novel, to lead us to certain points of the movie. Robert Downy Jr.'s narration and point of view of the whole thing makes for some witty narration. Val Kilmer is very well cast as the detective who guides Harry throughout the film and Michelle Monaghan is a treat as Harry's girlfriend. All in all a very funny comedy -action romp.

The Ice Harvest (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "The Ice Harvest"
John Cusak is a great actor usually playing mousy guys who usually get the girl in the end. He has set great comedic stage here with The Ice Harvest, teaming with Harold Ramis. Set as sort of a black comedy mob caper, The Ice Harvest starts on Christmas Eve with a down on his luck lawyer Charlie Arglist (Cusak), who has just stolen $2 million from the local crime boss (Randy Quaid) along with his partner, Vic (Billy Bob Thorten), a strip club owner. So as the two men plan to leave Witchita, Kansas and make way with the money, tending the people of Witchita, without being caught. As the night continues to ensue Charlie begin to believe that Vic has other plans for the cash. As the saying in the movie goes: "As Witchita falls, so falls Witchita falls", and it certainly does with all the action. The cast did very well for themselves with Cusak taking a laid back but urgent personality to Charlie. Thorton takes his cue from his 2003 movie Bad Santa to play the Scheamer. Quaid, being in only about one scene did what he could with it. Side characters include Connie Nielson as Charlie's love interest and (shockingly great performance) Oliver Platt as Charlie's drunk college friend. Harold Ramis (Caddyshack, Groundhog Day) brings real humor to the characters and the situations and ties them all together. The movie loses its steam a little toward the middle but come right back with action. All in all a pretty good little film.

There's Something About Mary (1998)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "There's Something About Mary"
One of The Farreley Brothers greatest films that is also known as probably one of the most famous gross out comedies of all time and the blast off of The Farreley Brother's career, this is one of the stupid yet sweet films everyone loves to watch along the lines of "Me, Myself and Irene". The story is simple: Ted Stromen (Ben Stiller) is a High School geek who has a crush on the prettiest girl in school Mary Jensen (Cameron Diaz) although she has a mentally challenged brother named Warren (W Earl Brown) who sometimes gets Ted into some embarrassing situations. Ted decides to ask Mary to the Prom and on Prom night, a disaster happens that keeps Ted and Mary from dancing all through the night. Flash forward 13 years and Ted is a wreck after the date never happened. So Ted hires a sleazy private Dick Pat Healy (Matt Dillon) to spy on Mary, to see how she is doing. But, after getting one glimpse of Mary, he lies to Ted and moves to get closer to Mary. This is one of those tasteless comedies that no one would have thought would work but it did and became an instant cult classic and boosted The Farrelley Brothers up to the status as the kings of comedy gross out movies. Some side characters are Tucker (Lee Evans), a friend of Mary's and Dom (Chris Elliot) an ex boyfriend of Mary's. The cast and directors work very well together and create a movie that is sure to go down in history.

Me, Myself & Irene (2000)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Me, Myself and Irene"
Let it be known that Jim Carrey is my favorite actor of all time and for him to be in a movie with the Farrelly Brothers (Peter and Bobby) that is just pretty amazing (Jim being in "Dumb and Dumber" for them before this would explain why he went back). Another gross out comedy along the lines of "There's Something About Mary", "Me, Myself and Irene" is brimming with lots of fun and great characters. The story goes like this: Charlie Baileygates (Carrey) is a nice guy Rhode Island State Trooper who fell in love with the popular girl (Trayler Howard). On their wedding day, she falls in love with the black limo driver (Tony Cox, in a small role) she gives birth to three black babies: Shonte Jr Bailygates, Jamaal Bailygates, and Lee Harvey Baileygates (Jerod Nixon, Anthony Anderson, and Mongo Brownlee). She leaves Charlie and he is left to raise the three boys. After she left him he became a victim of multiple personality disorder. Charlie goes back to work and his alter ego Hank Evans (Carrey) comes out to play. The State Troopers take in a woman, Irene P Waters (Renee Zellegger) and Charlie must escort her to another location to get her away from her ex boyfriend. Along the way Hank comes out to formally introduce himself to Irene, and chaos ensues. Carrey and Zellegger work wonders with each other and bounce the story back and forth from each other. All in all this is probably one of my favorite Jim Carrey movies to date.

Click (2006)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Click"
Adam Sandler has made a career out of doing dumb heroes that eventually reach their goal at the end of the movie. For Example, take The Wedding Singer, funny tasteless and clocked about 90 minutes long (actully, it's 95 minutes long) and made good comedy out of it. But, he can also make heartbreaking stories. Take Spanglish for example, he was having wife problems but he got them resolved and made a heartbreaking story out of them. In Click, he combine his hilarity and his heart to create a character named Michael Newman, a family man who has a gorgeous wife named Donna (Kate Beckinsale, stunning as ever) and is a struggling architect trying to get up in the ranks. One night he gets so upset that he goes to BED, BATH AND BEYOND to find a Universal Remote Control to control his universe and through a door labeled BEYOND and meets Morty (Christopher Walken), a man who takes him through a door labeled WAY BEYOND and finds him a Universal Remote that is hot off the market and he gives it to Michael free. But once Michael starts skipping around his universe to make his business life his top priority and in the essence, losing sight of his family, the remote creates a mind of it's own and Michael can't stop it with very heartbreaking results. The cast works very well together in their roles and their were some side characters that were hilarious in their roles: David Hasslehouf as Michael's Boss, Sean Astin as their Son's swimming instructor, Julie Kavner and Henry Winkler as Michael's parents all make for satisfying cameos and the story is amazing and heartbreakingly real. So go and see this amazing and funny film and feel good about your life.

The Benchwarmers (2006)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "The Benchwarmers"
Who could have thunk that Rob Schineider (Deace Bigalow: Male Giggalow), David Spade (Joe Dirt) and Jon Heder (Napolean Dynamite) would star in a movie together about losers who form a three man baseball team to wipe out the competition? I didn't and if you enjoy gross out comedies like the ones mentioned above than you will positively enjoy the fun romp. The plot is simple and tasteless: Three older guys: Gus (Schenieder), the more popular of the three who actually knows how to play the game of baseball, Ritchie (Spade), the dweeb video store employee who enjoys hitting on the women who walk into the store, and Clark (Heder), the slightly dumb but lovable mama's boy who lives at home with his mother and enjoys macaroni. So they hire childhood nerd turned rich guy (Jon Lovitz) to be their team manager and they start playing against all the little league teams across the state and they prove that Dweebs, Geeks, and Nerds are people too with hilarious results. Did you know that before he died Chris Farley would have been one of the three guys in the movie and after his death they stashed the idea away to wait for a more opportune moment, now, I'm not saying that Farley is bad, but this is a good movie all on its own. The cast look great together and look like they had a lot of fun making this movie together. This movie will definitely find its audience so go see it and enjoy it.

V for Vendetta (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "V for Vendetta"
In the near future, Britain will be controlled by the government and the people will have no control over what they do, what they say, and what they eat. But Britain has a secret weapon to fight back against the government to win back control over their lives. His name is Agent Codename: V and he will soon have a new ally named Evie Hammond. What a story. The special effects are amazing and the story is fascinating. The story goes like this: A shadowy freedom fighter known only as V fights for the rights of the people in Britain by blowing up powerful landmarks in Britain and 1 night he rescues a women, Evie Hammond from the secret Police and locks her down in his domain to mold her into his new ally. Over the course of 1 year, things change for Evie. Now I am an Independent voter but I discourage the way George W Bush is running things and that if we are not careful this is what could happen if the Bush's stay in Power. They will run our lives and their will be nothing that any of us can do about it. We are all seriously doomed if Bush stays in power. Then what are we going to do, we will have to call someone like V to come and rescue us, or maybe we will have to rescue ourselves.

Inside Man (2006)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Inside Man"
This is probably the first Spike Lee movie I have ever seen and I must say this was a very good and very tasteful movie. Denzel Washington. Clive Owen. Jodie Foster. Spike Lee. What a combination. A great story. A great twist. A great crime. The story is simple, yet it's not. The story is like this: "Hello, my name is Dalton Russel, pay strict attention to what I am saying because I chose my words very carefully, and I never repeat myself...", That is what crime specialist Dalton Russel (Owen) says after he plans to rob one of the most high security banks in NYC and walk right out the front door. Dalton and his crew go into the bank disguised as painters and hold up the place. That is where the story begins. Hostage Negoitiater Keith Fraizer(Washington) is called in to try to save some of the hostages. Meanwhile Madeline White (Foster) has been blackmailing the owner of the bank Arthur Case (Christopher Plummer). Meanwhile the police are circling the bank and no one will escape. Denzal Washington is main person in this movie and he carries it very well. The other leading man, Clive Owen, also carries the movie perfectly as the villain, Dalton Russel. The movie overall is very good and has many good twists. Pay close attention or you may miss the point.

Tommy Boy (1995)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Tommy Boy"
Chris Farley has made a career out of playing underachievers and with David Spade at his side they can make funny movies. Here is their first one "Tommy Boy". It was a very good movie that has become a favorite teen movie over the generations. The first outing between Farley and Spade (their second being "Black Sheep", which wasn't as good as this). The story on this one follows Tommy Callahan the Third, who has just graduated college after 7 years and is going back to his hometown to take control of his father's company (a break pad factory) and gets a surprise: his father Big Tom Callahan (Brian Dennehey) has met and is engaged to a perfect 10 (Bo Derek) and he is getting a new brother (Rob Lowe). When Big Tom dies of a stroke it's up to Tommy to sell just enough break pads to keep the factory all while his new in laws are conspiring against him. This was a very funny and entertaining movie that should be viewed by everyone who enjoys a good laugh and Chris Farley and David Spade. All and all a very fun and funny movie everyone will like it.

Black Sheep (1996)
Movie Schitzo's Revieww of "Black Sheep"
Chris Farley was a movie genius. Fresh from SNL he made lots of funny movies, my favorite of his being "Almost Heroes". He had collaborated with David Spade before on "Tommy Boy". They both made a pretty good team in the movies. They were both pretty hilarious and it was a shame that Farley had died sometime later. So was this better than "Tommy Boy" you ask? NO! This was OK, but did not even come close to what "Tommy Boy" accomplished. So here is the plot: Al Donnely (Tim Matheson) is running for Govener of Washington and to ensure a clean election he hires his aide Steve Dodds (Spade) to keep an eye on his kindhearted but clumsy brother Mike Donnely (Farley). So the race to beat their competitor Govener Tracy (Christine Ebersole) begins so that Al can become the next Govener of Washington. The acting is sub par and mostly only Farley makes it up to snuff with the material he is handed. Spade on the other hand is probably thinking, I could be making "Joe Dirt" right about now, but is still pretty good in the role he is given, but still could be better. Their is a scene where Farley is smoking weed and that is what ultimately led to his death in 1997. All in all a good and interesting movie for a couple of viewings.

Happy Gilmore (1996)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Happy Gilmore"
Adam Sandler is a genius. He has made so many great and funny films with basically no plot. I think he enjoys playing dumb characters or characters that learn a lesson at the end of the film. Some of his best performances to date are "Big Daddy" and "50 First Dates". Here he plays an ill tempered Hockey player who real wants to play the game. When his Grandma (Frances Bay) forgets to pay the mortgage Happy comes to the rescue. He gets help in the form of a black guy who had his hand bitten off by a 'gator. So Happy decides to win some money by playing golf. Along the way he makes an enemy in Shooter McGaven (Christopher McDonald) and catches the eye of a love interest Virginia Vennit (Julie Bowen), all the way headed to win the championship game and to get his Grandma's house back from Shooter. One of the most famous scenes in this movie is the scene where Happy and Bob Barker get into a huge fistfight. This is a very "Happy" and dumb comedy from Sandler and his crew that goes up there with some of his other sports movies like The Waterboy and The Longest Yard. All in all this was a very dumb and entertaining movie that should become a favorite of everyones over the years.

Billy Madison (1995)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Billy Madison"
Adam Sandler. A very funny guy. He can take any material he is given and make it work. Take "Little Nicky" for example, there he played the son of the devil who had to go up to earth to bring back his 2 brothers. Here, he plays hotel heir Billy Madison, a lazy drunk who spends most of the day sitting in a pool, reading nude magazines and lighting dog crap on people's doorsteps. His father Brian Madison (Darren McGaven), the actual owner of the hotels, is frustrated. He decides to give the company over to the sleazy Eric Gordon (Bradley Whitford). So Billy decides to make a bet with his father: First grade through twelfth grade all through 20 weeks and he gets the company. He finds a love interest in his third grade teacher Miss Veronica Vaughn (Bridgette Wilson), so out he goes into the real world. I have to say that this is one of the dumbest movies you could come in contact with, but i love stupid and dumb films, so I bought this movie! The cast does well with what they are given, but this is really Sandler's film. All in all a very dumb for your dumb pleasure. Enjoy!

Flightplan (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Flightplan"
Jodie Foster's "Flightplan" is not as good as her other thriller, "Panic Room", in fact it doesn't even come close. What with all the constant plot holes you'd a thunk that the director went to a special school for plot holes. Although, this is a very good and genuine thriller that is worth a see. Jodie Foster plays Kyle Pratt, an engineer who is taking her daughter, Julia, back to the US from Berlin. They both decide to take a long nap because they won't land for quite some time. Kyle wakes up mid flight and realizes Julia isn't by her like she was a couple hours ago. So channeling her mother instincts, she goes to the crew to see if they can find her daughter. They look and look, but the girl is no where to be seen. They get the captain into it all and a whole new conspiracy opens up. A very interesting concept that was partly stolen from "The Forgotten" (in my opinion, this was better though), "Flightplan" brims with interesting characters and a very neat concept. For the side character we have Peter Sarsgard as the air marshal (of "Garden State" fame) and Sean Beinn as the captain (of "National Treasure" fame). In the end this is an exceptional thriller that has many plot holes, but is still throughly enjoyable.

Red Eye (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Red Eye"
Rachel McAdams. Cillian Murphy. Wes Craven. The Dream Team. This is one of the best thrillers of 2005. A great plot. A great twist. A great eye candy. This is one of Wes Craven's greatest movies apart from "Scream" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street". This could be the best. The plot is one of the best things about the movie and it is very simple. Lisa Reisert (McAdams) a struggling hotel manager, boards a late Red Eye back to LA. Little does she know that she has been followed by Jackson Ripner AKA Jack the Ripper (Murphy). They have a couple of drinks and end up sitting together on the plane. Later he reveals to her that he is an assassin who was sent to kill the Secreteary of Homeland Security who is staying in Lisa's hotel. And what does this have to with Lisa. Well, she would have to move his room to the top suite so they can bomb him, if she doesn't Ripner will murder her father (Brian Cox). The twist and bringing of the story really gives it the extra zing and the side characters and the side jokes really add to it. Overall, definitely one of the best thrillers of 2005. Definitely worth the see.

Cursed (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Cursed"
Wes Craven and Kevin WIlliamson can do great things. Wes Craven has done such great films as "Red Eye" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Kevin Williamson has also done some good work with "I Know what you did Last Summer" and TV's Dawson's Creek". But together they created a movie that rejuvenated the horror genre "Scream". So it's no doubt that they7 would get together again to make another horror film, but this time circling werewolves? Who'd a thunk that? Apparentley them. The outcome of all their work is "Cursed", a horror comedy that works bad on the first level, but great on the second level. Not very scary, but still entertaining, "Cursed" begins with a car crash and we meet Ellie (Christina Ricci) and her brother Jimmy (Jesse Eisenburg) who are attacked by a beast and slowly are becoming werewolves. The only way to break the curse apparently is to kill the one who started it. So, the hunt begins. Ellie works for The Craig Kilborne Shoe and Scott Baio is an upcoming new guest. Ellie also has a boyfriend who is in show business named Jake (Joshua Jackson) who has a secret of his own. The showbiz aspect of the movie is very interesting and entertaining but the outcome of the actual creature is very poorly done and very sloppy. Overall a very interesting if not poor horror horror film that is sure to have at least one audience.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
The Rocky Horror Picture Show has become on of the greatest Midnight Movies of all time (number first place for me, second place being Night of the Living Dead). The story is plain and simple and spoofs all the dumb science fiction movies of the 1950's. It works wonders ans a musical, with songs like Double Feature, Dammit Janet, There's a Light, Time Warp, Sweet TTransvestite, I can make you a man, Hot Patootie, Bless My Soul, Toucha, Toucha, Toucha, Touch Me, Eddie, Wise up, Don't Dream it, Be it, and I'm going Home. The movie starts with Brad Majors and Janet Weiss are caught in the rain with a flat tire and decide to go a couple miles back up the road to see if they can get help from the castle they passed. They shouldn't have done that. At the castle the y meet Riff Raff, a faithful handyman, Magenta, the maid, and Columbia, the Mistress. Then we meet the one and only Dr. Frank N Furter, a transvestite who is very open about his sexuality and Frank has just finished a creation AKA monster that he names Rocky Horror who looks just like a muscle man. Brad and Janet lose sight of their sexualities that night but something cosmic definitely happened. The cast is fantastic with Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarrandon as Brad and Janet, Peter Hinwood as Rocky Horror, Patricia Qinn and Richard o' Brien (the writer of the original story) as Brother and Sister Magenta and Riff Raff, Meatloaf and Little Nell as Eddie and Columbia and Tim Curry as Dr Frank N Furter. All in all the cast does wonders with this "rock opera" that became a cult classic and one of the most greatest Midnight Movies ever to grace our presence.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut"
Trey Parker and Matt Stone have created a real gem with "Bigger, Longer, and Uncut". I love South Park. I watch it whenever I get the chance to on Comedy Central. South Park, Mind of Mencia, and MAD TV are some of the only show I watch on Comedy Central. Here we find our 4 heroes Stan Marsh, Kyle Brofloski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormic have gone to see an R rated film (Asses of Fire) made by their favorite Canadian comedians who specialize in Fart and Butt jokes Terrance and Phillip. At school and around their "quiet, little, redneck mountain town" they start to repeat all the dirty words they heard in the movie. The parents find out and rage war against Canada. Meanwhile in Hell, Satan and Saddam Hussien are Homosexual lovers who make a plan to take over the world via USA vs CANADA war. So the boys decide to defy their parents and save Terrence and Phillip all while Stan tries to win Wendy back from "that Gregory kid" who has "a 4 point o grade point average and his strategy to do that is to find the clitoris (as learned by Chef). Not only is this movie laugh out loud, squirt beer out of your nose funny but it is also very political and has a good message about freedom of speech. In the end this a once in a lifetime movie that is not only animated, not only a musical but also, got an R rating, just like Asses of Fire.

Darkness (2002)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Darkness"
Wow. Darkness. Very weird, very confusing, very interesting. A Spanish ghost story that wouldn't make much sense to us Americans and that if only you are a huge fan of horror movies and foreign films than you are probably some of the only people who would understand and enjoy this film. Anna Paqin and Lena Olin in a foreign film together? Who'd a thunk that. Oh well. So, this a ghost story from Spain. It starts out that a teenage girl, her parents, and her little brother move into this very secluded house that doesn't get very much electricity. Basiclly, 4o years ago, a orphanage sacrificed 5 children to their witchcraft but couldn't sacrifice the sixth one because he escaped. Back to the present and The sixth child has a family and buys the old house where he was almost sacrificed. So the Darkness Descends. The acting was sub par for me only knowing who 2 of the actors in the whole movie were. The plot and the twist was very confusing so pay close attention to the little details that appear. All in all an OK movie if you love horror and foreign films.

Kicking & Screaming (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Kicking and Screaming"
SNL's Will Ferrel is hilarious. He can fit into any role he is handed. Take "Elf" for example in which he plays the tittle character, Buddy who is a human raised by elves in the North Pole. That takes comedic talent. Here he plays Phil Weston, who was born under the rule of his ultra competitive father Buck Weston (Robert Duvall) who makes him go out for sports. He is not very good but catches the eye of the prettiest girl in school. They get married and have a son named Sam Weston, but only on the same day that Buck and his young wife also have a son (Bucky Weston) which makes Phil the brother of a baby! 10 years pass and Sam is kicked off of Buck's soccer team The Gladiators. So, Phil puts him on the team The Tigers and the chaos ensues. The Tigers are last place in the league and makes up of basically losers (no offense) which include Mark, the white boy who tries to be black, Hunter, the worm eater (but pay him 5 bucks), Byong Sun, the shy Japanese boy, and Ambrose, the big tough guy. Phil realizes that he and his team are on the way to another losing season and hires Mike Ditka (playing himself) to be the assistant coach. They add two more players: Gian Pierre and Massimo, the Italians. They get better and better and get up in the ranks. OK this was a fun film for anyone who likes dumb sports comedies. It was dumb, had a happy ending and was just good clean fun!

Rebound (2005)
Movie Schitzo's Review of "Rebound"
First off let me start out by saying that I am not a huge Martin Lawrence fan. Big Momma's House 1 and 2 were pretty good for some dumb comedy movies (me owning the first one and liking it)but, National Security with Martin and Steve Zahn was passable. OK, now on to Rebound. Hot Head Basketball coach Roy McCormic (Lawrence) gets fired and loses his fame and decides to win the press and basketball league back by coaching a small middle school team called The Mt. Vernon Smelters. So he meets the kids, Keith, best player, One Love, loves shoes, hair and ego, Goggles, best spirit, always hit in the face, Ralph, two older brothers, lots of experience, and Fuzzy, the junk food addict (no offense). So bit by bit he starts to teach them to win and later they add two more players, Wes, the shy tall guy who Roy calls "The Sledgehammer", and Big Mac, the school bully who is not afraid of a fight. They get better and better and slowly make their way to victory. Some of the side joke adult characters such as the principal of the school (Meagan Mullaly of TV's "Will and Grace") and an over enthusiastic competitive coach (Patrick Warburton of (Kronk's New Groove). Overall I thought this movie was good and entertaining. It teaches a lesson to not be self centered. It was very sad in my opinion that the girl who played Big Mac died from a gunshot and was rumored to be in a gang. She would have become a "SuperSta". All and all very entertaining.
