Obvious information and magic tricks

NOTE: I only watched episode 2 (the calories episode).

The show starts off with big talk about science, but as it goes on it's more about "life hacks" than science. Like how to get less calories out off eating chips - the show proudly announces - EAT SMALLER PORTION (eyeroll).

There are some interesting bits of information, but those are facts and they don't show the science behind it. Like I really wanted to know how the calories are counted in food products, they do this big setup, going into a lab and mixing one food product into a mash... then they show random lab equipment showreel with liquid droplets dropping and the explanation goes like this "this food goes into a lab to be analyzed, separated into it's different chemical groups, which are measured precisely!" And then they shows the results. How about showing and explaining HOW this process works.

They also did one exercise test - they measured how many calories different activities take and how you can burn the most. Activities were - gym workout, cleaning home, doing nothing. And the winner - cleaning home - YEAH, BECAUSE IT TOOK LONGER TIME! Also they don't take into account the increased calorie burn that you get POST WORKOUT when going to the gym.

Overall I gave this title 3, was entertaining enough as I had nothing better to do, but googling the same time as the show lasts about calories will probably make you smarter.

Chappie (2015)

Don't watch the misleading trailers before watching the movie

This movie is not about saving the world or humanity, nor is it about a robot learning moral principles from a TV. It's more about what it is to be a conscious being among humans when one is not human itself.

Blomkamp does an amazing job developing his characters and it's hard to not feel compassion for Chappie as he is dropped into the most unlikely place to grow up. He goes from being an uncertain child to a relatable hero, capable of making the tough, but right choice in face of danger.

I think it is getting many bad reviews because many of the synopses and trailers that are used to market this movie make it look like a classic running-away-from-the-bad-villain-until-facing-him-in-the-end movie, but it's misleading. Instead you get deep subjects like existentialism, greed, vanity and fear which are mixed with entertaining and funny gangsterism and that really makes this movie.

I gave this movie 10 out of 10, because this movie made me feel, think and laugh - it entertained me for the buck.

Miss March (2009)

WKUK sketches are better

I don't know why they didn't add Timmy and other guys to the casting/scripting of this movie, but I'm sure hoping they will if they should ever create another one.

There were some very good laughs, but overall it felt kinda like 90's movie with Tom and Jerry like jokes(Which doesn't have to be a bad thing when well executed).

Also they were going WAY too much for the simple Hollywood recipe and moral story.

Whitest Kids You Know rocks 100% :P I sure can't wait to see new stuff from them.

...maybe my hopes were just too high for this one...

Chuck (2007–2012)

Chuck is a great show.

What I like most about Chuck is the way the characters are handled. It's like every character is handled with utmost care, not like in latest season of Heroes or some seasons back LOST(I'm not saying they are bad shows). In Chuck, they don't just make the characters disappear and make them go away from watchers minds.

It may not have a mind-blowing LOST like script, but it definitely has it's moments and it doesn't need to have a script like that. It's designed to be a fun show where you don't have to remember what happened in season 1 episode 2 and it delivers. There is the main plot with Chuck and Sarah, with a little love twist, but there are also the BuyMore people giving us good comic relief.

I recommend this show to everyone who likes comedy, a little action and a great love story.

The Mist (2007)

Good story, maybe. Bad execution, definitely.

Now, I've always liked horror movies and I very much like Stephen King's creation, I haven't read the Mist book, but the movie is a bad adaption of it for sure.

The story is a mix of Silent Hill, Half-Life and Lord of the Flies which doesn't have to be a bad thing, but the movie is just so predictable, yes even the beloved ending, I mean how didn't someone see that.

The choices characters make in the movie are mostly stupid and just make the watchers angry by looking at the arrogant roads characters take to solve problems and the time to figure out obvious. I'm sure it makes perfect sense in the book, but the screen writing isn't done well enough to make the watchers really believe.

The acting isn't all bad, again it's the screen writing, I mean who talks/thinks like that? Unlike I did, I suggest to people who haven't seen this movie to read the book instead.

Overall score: 3/10

American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile (2006 Video)

Not as good as first and third, but better than fourth and second.

I have seen all the American Pie movies and loved them all, if I had to put them in order of my like it would be like that: 1. I 2. III 3. V 4. II 5. IV

There wasn't a sht load of jokes as there was in the first one. But it had a lot of dirty jokes, maybe too much including penis :D . I understand it never made to big screen, but it's still a lot of fun watching it with friends. The story has a good morality point, but it's nothing new. Although I think the story could have been better the acting and camera work was fine. Also the soundtrack is nothing special, not bad, but not as good as the it was in the 1,2,3.

In conclusion good movie, but not a legend.
