Terrifier 2 (2022)

Well made but way too damn long!
25 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Big step up from previous Terrifier, how much you like this will depend mostly on how much you love watching human beings getting tortured, hacked, brains and heads being lovingly squashed, dismemberments that go on forever, castration and oceans of blood, viscera, vomit, diarrhea and all other types of body fluids. There's definitely an audience for this kind of stuff and director Damien Leone knows this. So he pulls out all the stops and delivers in spades. It is well shot and looks very good. David Howard Thornton does a great job making Art the clown seems eerie, yet occasionally humerous and goofy. He's very much franchise material, and watching the success of this film I'm sure that there will be many more Terrifier films to come. But...goddamn this movie was long. I even sensed that people in the theater were starting to burn out by the end of it. The third act especially seemed to go on forever. And it didn't need to. This movie would have been a tight 90 minutes. Instead, I actually briefly fell asleep near the end. 138 minutes is pretty long for a regular movie, much less a splatter film which doesn't have a lot of substance anyways. In conclusion, there were three high school looking boys behind me who were loving every minute of it, especially the prolonged gore scenes. No doubt that if you grew up on Fangoria and enjoy the most extreme and over the top violence you will probably love this movie. As someone who has worked in the ER and has seen plenty of real life sufferng, pain, violence and gore, I probably don't need to see this again. But hey, knock yourself out.

What a Steaming Pile of Crap!
5 April 2019
Horrible ten cent fictionalized version of the Sharon Tate murders in 1969 is the worst possible thing imagined. As if the real life murders weren't bad enough, this movie changes the outcome and turns it into a low rent slasher film. I expected Roman Polanski to fly in on Bat wings and vanquish the mighty Manson family. I realized, however, that I had been conned. As someone who has seen nearly all the major Manson films, that I was suckered into this hoping that it would interesting. Forgetting reality for a moment, how does the movie play as a thriller. Terrible. The camera work bips and bops around like Uncle Jim just got his new camcorder. The acting is awful but in fairness to them the dialogue is so bad that Meryl Streep would have had trouble with it. Really though, this is exploitation of the worst kind, taking a monumental event in history and turning it into a complete sham.If people really do turn over in their graves then Sharon Tate must be rolling now. Watch it if you must but expect full and complete garbage of the worst order!

Amy Schumer: Growing (2019 TV Special)

Pretty Bad
19 March 2019
Amy Schumer's new netflix concert is out and on the positive note it's much better than her last horrible one. You know, the one where she wore a leather outfit and talked about her smelly feminine organs. She's pregnant now and more or less talks about that subject for the whole hour. Some of her observations are pretty funny, especially early on. But after a while it just gets OLD. Even the crowd gets quiet at times, like they're hoping dearly for anything to laugh at. I have nothing against Amy as a comedian but God, what a long boring show.

This REALLY SUCKS!
14 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't expect much from a movie with the title of Party Bus to Hell but this is dismal beyond belief. The CGI effects are so bad and it looks like it was shot on a long weekend. Poor Tara Reid looks haggard and unhealthy and the rest of the cast is forgettable. I figured that you'd get a kind of Fred Olen Ray film, with lots of hot looking girls running around naked but most of the women should have kept their clothes on! The so called plot is like a combo of Race with the Devil and The hills have eyes. Making comedy horror is actually quite hard to do. This just proves that. Words are hard to come up with to describe this. Wasted time and money that I won't get back. You've been warned.

Worthless Ones
29 March 2018
10 Cent version of The Evil Dead is a laughable no budget horror possession film. Now I love good possession films. They're actually very hard to pull off. A group of young adults go to an old house in the country(Big Surprise!) that turns out to be haunted by demon types. This movie gets worse as it goes. The acting is marginal and the special effects really weak. However, Bobby T is really freakin' hot as one of the guys girlfriends and make s a pretty good demon. The ending is quick and unsatisfying. This film has multiple titles, which usually means they had a hard time distributing it. All in all, I wouldn't recommend it but Bobby T is worth checking out. Good luck!

Total Crap!
29 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
What a waste. The movie starts out pretty good, with decent cinematography but quickly turns into a tedious bore. The killer clown is eerie at first but then it becomes apparent he's gonna be another Jason or Michael Myers, meaning you can't kill him no matter what you do. However, where the filmmakers really screwed up is by (SPOILER ALERT!). killing off the best character in the movie by far, Tara, the dark haired girl. I thought that the actress was very good and sympathetic and by killing her off in the first half it just wrecked it. We had no one else to care about.. After that all you have is super clown killing everybody. Some of the reviews make you think that you're seeing another great horror classic but I don't think so. A lot of work went into the gore effects but I wish they would have spent as much time on the story. It really goes bad in the second half and I was happy to see it end.

Movie is SOOOOO Slow!!!
27 February 2016
Another low budget horror film that is completely worthless. Absolutely no energy in this movie about a woman who is haunted by her past. It was impossible to create any suspense and the acting was very poor. In this type of film it's really important to feel something for the lead characters and instead we're treated to long, boring passages that don't amount to anything. The director needed to make the start much more involving. Simply not at all scary which is what you want out of a picture like this.Don't waste your money on this. In fact, don't waste your time on this. Truly awful. Please give us quality scare films. Not stuff like this!

Total Crap!
17 February 2016
Amazing that a movie like this could even be released. I don't know what camera they used to film this but the picture was horribly dark and the sound was terrible. As far as any exorcism goes there was nothing scary or interesting. I generally like low budget horror films but this was next to nothing. The acting was bad although I kind of feel bad for the actors who probably knew they were making crap.Seriously, these type of films give horror films a bad name. I can't get over the awful camera work. I wonder if someone shot this on an i phone or a cheap camcorder. Avoid at all costs. Go watch The Exorcist if you want to see a great demon film!

What a Great Movie!
7 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I am totally speechless. I just watched this little indy thriller that I knew nothing about and it blew me away! Whoever the hell Paul Osbourne is, my guess is that we'll be hearing a lot more from him. This film is about a guy who inadvertently kills a woman he's been seeing on the side and gets his childhood friend to cover it up for him. However his loser friend starts demanding all sorts of stuff from him, like giving him money and hiring him in a job he's clearly not qualified to work at. This suspense just keeps building and building, the acting of the two primary actors is just amazing. Osbourne not only directed this but also wrote and photographed it as well. It is so rare to find an unknown flick that is as good as any thriller I've seen in a long time. Do yourself a Favor and rent or buy this. I will be watching this again real soon. Danny.

As Awful as any movie that I've ever seen!
10 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know where to begin with this movie except to say it was a miserable experience. I enjoy low budget horror and generally will give a break as far as production values, effects, and acting goes. It's so slow and grimy looking, the digital video camera work was appalling and often the sound was very badly recorded. It really had the look and feel of an amateur production, even worse than that, it was so non sensical that I was scratching my head trying to figure it out. The original title was rehab but I guess that didn't sound scary. On top of these the movie just had a real downer feel to it and the ending doesn't help either. My advice is to skip this and try to find something better.

Wow, did this suck!
19 June 2014
Midnight Releasing has dropped another cinematic turd on us poor horror fans who just want to see a decent flick! I swear, the acting was porno film quality. It really sits there and for 1 hour and 45 minutes!. I also have to comment on the lousy camera-work. Looks like it was shot on my uncles Hi8 camcorder. This thing reeks of low budget. Maybe no budget.Another thing, it very very very boring. All I wanted was a decent horror movie, it didn't have to be The Exorcist or something, just entertaining.Total waste of time. Yuck! Also, the editing was poor, and the sound wasn't very good. Those kind of things can really ruin the general atmosphere. Anyways, I give it 1.

A man and his Talleywacker!
19 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This was quite interesting and actually entertaining documentary about a Icelandic gentleman who has the world's only full Penis museum. Except, he needs one more willie to complete his collection. A human penis! I never really thought about it before and I didn't realize how difficult it is to procure some dead guys phallus but I guess it is. So it comes down to a legendary but old Icelandic guy whose unit is shriveling by the minute and a American guy so proud of his schlong he calls it Elmo. He's so proud of it in fact, that he's willing to have it removed completely while he's still alive and donate it to the museum. Its both hilarious and kind of blood curdling at the same time. I very much recommend that those with an open mind and a closed zipper should watch this, at least once anyways! Dano.

Lousy horror film just keeps getting worse!
18 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Terrible throwback to 80's slasher movies mixed in with a little torture porn. Poorly acted, scripted drivel that wasn't scary or fun. Very dark camera-work at times making even the decent gore scenes hard to see. Was also really slow to get going. It took the 45 minute mark before it kicked into action. The main problem though is just a lack of any suspense or even sense. Finally, the ending totally sucked and left me with a feeling that I wasted nearly an hour and a half on this flick. I love good solid low budget horror movies. Too bad this wasn't one of them. Please filmmakers give us characters that we care about. I've seen too many of these films lately. And whatever happened to having a satisfying ending.
