Cheap Compilation of Trailers
21 November 2012
This is not so much a comment as it is a letter to the Nolan brothers for whom I will choose to keep respecting albeit them having stolen almost 3 hours of my life and replaced them with over sized crap.

I was incredibly motivated to watch Batman Begins (although I was not a fan of the "original" Batman movies) simply due to the fact that Nolan and Bale had grabbed hold of the project. I was not disappointed. Then the Dark Knight came up, and I was absolutely blown away. I decided then to keep some distance from TDKR so as to prevent it disappointing me, and now.. I just wish I had erased from my mind that this movie even existed.

Mr. Nolan, I want my money back. The movie was an unbelievable shower of trailers at a nauseating speed and absolutely no regard for storytelling. The interpretations might be flawless but are as well a victim of this absolute rubbish screenplay which left me gasping for air after repeatedly having attempted to choke in my own vomit.

Dear sir Mr. Nolan, this is misbehaving.

a nauseating circle
7 May 2008
This was pure crap.

The clichés are everywhere indeed. The plot of the movie is ridiculous, trying to unite 4 or 5 or whatever different stories in ways that are just completely dumb. Scenes that had no sense at all! They were trying to create a circle between characters, making them all interact and making their lives coincide in some point but they had nothing so they joined dots with preposterous lines.

It doesn't matter that it has been done before! They can do it over and over again but please, get a proper story! don't get these far-fetched absurd little uninteresting stories and then unite them all with the point that they (don't) have in common.

the reason I gave it a 4/10 is simply because Forest, Garcia and Bacon delivered very very well otherwise the movie would have been even more hateful.

Sweetly done but..
20 February 2008
This was a smart sweet movie. Very nicely done with some beautiful scenes! Majestic pictures really. And it had a nice story and some good characters with great performances specially by Rachel Weisz and Strathairn! It had good witty dialogs and had some funny moments. It's one of those movies that has everything to be good. Never Amazing, never something out of this world, but good! Makes you feel good after wards! But because of the editing and the great shots, this movie could have been far better than the average sweet smart movie.

The main reason why it's just good is because of the lead actress which was Norah Jones. And I'm very sorry to say she didn't convince me at all. It even became annoying at some points! And since she is narrating some bits and appearing in most of the movie.. it kinda ruined it a bit for me. It's really hard to comprehend why she was given the part. But if you can forget about her acting.. I think the movie is really good.

Could be good
27 September 2006
I just saw Crash last night and I must say I wasn't impressed. Which is a shame because I thought the movie had something special about it but it was ruined.

I liked the interaction between all those stories and characters and thought the way Haggis explored the conflict of feelings between all of them was quite brilliantly done! The interpretations were mostly really good also.

But then I think he lost it because he tried to give it too much that tragedy feeling which had no reason to be since the tragedy was already there.. so he did that ridiculous last scene "à la Magnolia" with the song playing loud and clear and showing all the characters in their suffering or feeling better about themselves.. I think Haggis went for the easy way of touching people. But I don't think he needed that.

Sorry about my English.

just gorgeous..

the story about a girl and two almost complete losers sharing a house that is meant to be just hers... but she doesn't know which is great otherwise there would be no movie... :P :P anyway, Scarlett is trying to break free from her life and when her mother Lorraine dies, she goes to New Orleans to start a new life while trying to figure out anything from her past and about her forever absent mother. so she comes across with Travolta and Macht who are master and protégé! Travolta being a former teacher and currently an alcoholic, and Macht being one of Travolta's former student and currently and alcoholic as well... but also an aspiring writer! whose first book will be about he's master...

so a partnership starts... they all help each other trying' to have the most of this "second" chance with life!

it's a beautiful simple movie. it has great interpretations by any of these three I've mentioned... and that's it! go watch it!

Al Pacino was born for this
24 March 2006
I've seen this movie a hundred times and it's still great! everyone likes a cool Satan... I know I do... and Al Pacino is just brilliant doing it... he makes it all look just fun and hot! and that's the whole thing isn't it? heaven's boring and hell is... well... something completely different ;P

Keanu Reeves can act... sure he can! but let's not get carried away... he doesn't even get close to what Charlize and Pacino did with their roles!! Charlize Theron, I don't like her that much but she's brilliant!! Al Pacino... I've said it... he's the perfect devil!!

the story isn't that original... we've all heard it before but the way it's told is great! of course it has a great ending and has great scenes, beautifully made... great dramatic scenes... great speeches... specially by the devil himself... and they didn't even messed it up with monsters and those other stupid things that so often feature in movies about this kind of things... just watch it... and watch it again! it's a great movie. great entertainment!

beautiful beautiful decadence
4 March 2006
I've just seen this movie yesterday by the second time now and it's brilliant I tell you!

I don't know why this movie has almost been kept as a secret but I think that the fact even gives it a special something... the movie portraits London as a decadent world, a place where drinking, incestuous sex, raping and what not was almost like an obligation to every men! And Depp's character is definitely the lord of it all... plus he is an eloquent bastard! anyway... just go see the movie for more as both my English and description abilities suck...

Depp, Samantha Morton and Rosamund Pike are wonderful in their roles!! the scenarios... the argument... the dialogs... all brilliant! and yet I only hear about the movie through IMDb... Never saw anything about it! No award... no nominations... who cares about Oscars? this is probably too shocking for those pure and chaste minds of theirs... but it should had caught the eye of Cannes, Berlin, Vienna, etc...
