I'm really asking myself, if these bad guys charakters are fictional or do they really exist so much dellusional characters in one whole little city? I mean, ok, rhey would most probably be Trump woters, but really? Sorry, but that was the first question that came to mind. Besides that, the movie has some hard-hitting action, well filmed by Doug Liman, Jake gives a great performance and Connor also delivers (yet - once again - so over the top... and yeah i know, he's irish). Only thing that bothered me a little was the CGI used during the fighting scenes. But one more time: so much Trump voters in one place? Damn... i was two times in your great country, but why take this turn in politics?

Never write reviews. I think mostly, because english is not my first language and i will never able to express myself as for example in german or french. Nevertheless, this is only my second commentary. I think people overreacte concerning this movie. First of all, i am not familiar at all with the source material. Second: I watched the moviel the first time as a kid and the skorpion creatures scared the hell out of me. Besides that, i always thought, that its weird as hell, but also entertaining the same time. Now as an adult i have to say: Seriously??? Below 5??? Ok, its certainly not a masterpiece, its offensive as hell and also silly to the bone. But take a minute to think about it. Especially today with the #femtoo movementes and i dont know what... OK, times change. Rhats one of the reasons i always loved the british humor. They make fun of everything. And everybody knows, that its not personal at all! Is it sexually offensive towards woman? Yeah... But for example "a serbian film" has a higher rating than this... wtf?? Is it silly? Yeah... but a much more sillier film like "doggy style" has a higher rating than Howard?? Leave me alone... Besides that: Tim Robbins, Lea Thompson and Jeffrey Jones (not rating all the buzz, only him as an actor - like a british). Solid 7 for me. Always liked it, will never forget it.

I'm pretty sure, that this is the first time i write a review. Even if i have this account for 20 + years and i'm a german speaking guy (so sorry for the faults).
I think that this is a show that don't insult the intelligence of the viewers. Also on an emotional level. I read a lot of comments here, that the show is too slow, there is nothing happening... But for myself i have to say, that makes me so much more investet for thee individual charakters. I'm totally into it. For sure, you got not a lot of action (in fact, there are no superheroes involved but actual humans) and that makes it for me even more gripping. It could need a little more speed, a little more tense. But, as i wrote, for the built of the characters, i think they could not have done it more tense. The setting of the past/present also confised me at the beginning but also intrigued me a lot. So for the first season i must say, bravo! So well done! I'm with the people in the forrest (and also later in the present) and i can feel they're emotions. I understand they're thinking. The only thing that this show makes not a perfect 10 for me is - i agree - only the pace. I'm waiting for the second season now (even the first is not over yet). I know the characters, i feel with em and i also wish that there will be a new "starting point". And i have the hope, that in the second season, there will be even more tense, threats and suspense. Because now i care. Very well done. Now get on the pedal and shock us even more with what will come. Even if we know, which character will survive and which not, this show always managed me to be invested and even shocked sometimes. Looking forward and can't wait!
