Wtf did I just watch
4 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I like Five-O obviously since I've made it this far but this episode was just bad. What was the plot here? A dog with PTSD? And the second storyline is just Danny meeting a new girl who ends up dying? Just a very boring episode all around. This is supposed to be a cop show right? And yet the only crime that was sorta committed wasn't even investigated. Instead the best cops on the island spending time looking into a dog's past to discover that some flowers triggered his PTSD. And why give Danny a love interest just to killed her off immediately? I just don't understand why this episode was approved. A waste.

Solid episode!
24 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Start of season 2 feels like a whole new show and this episode was a great way to kick it off. Dundies is an absolute classic of an episode. I feel this one might be slightly overrated but still a great episode nonetheless. I'd say this episode is more fun than funny but it definitely has its moments. Drunk Pam obviously is the best part of the episode. The scene at the end where she falls and Dwight takes his shirt off is probably my favorite part but there's lots of great parts. Wish I could give it more like an 8.5.

I have a character limit to reach so here is an extra sentence thrown in..

Hilarious

Just a great episode. Probably the best one of the season (although it's close with diversity day) and one of the best episodes of the show. So many laughs throughout the episode: "okay we'll be skins", "you gotta be kidding me!?". The characters start coming into form more in this episode and you get acquainted with the warehouse.

Least favorite episode of the season
23 January 2024
This was my least favorite episode of season 1. It's still the office so it's worth watching just not up to standard of the rest of the show. Not the funniest prank on Dwight- it seemed a little too drawn out and then ended in awkwardness. Best parts of the episode were Michael and Dwight interacting which sadly didn't happen enough in this episode. Also, in the extended cut the scene with Toby and the whiteout always makes me laugh. But watching Michael spend half the episode thinking about what to write in the card is just not the best plot line. Again is it worth watching, sure. Probably in my bottom 10 episodes though.

Not bad but not the best
23 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I've lost count of how many times I've watched this show now. This episode is fine but not the best. My favorite part is actually in the extended cut only where Michael hangs up on the client. Steve Carrell's acting and body language brings constant laughs and really makes the show.

A fine start

Thankfully the show went uphill from here. Not bad by any means, a few laughs, but compared to the rest of the show, not the best episode. The episode was basically a reshoot of the UK pilot and even though it used the same script and storyline the US version was better like always.

Sick (2022)

Bad Horror Film Piggybacking Off Covid
21 January 2023
Outside of a few COVID jokes, this movie is pretty much just a bad, drawn out horror movie where the unlikeable main characters are running from a knife wielding killer the entire time. "Sick" probably could have and should have been a half hour film because the rest of the time is just repetitive and boring scenes of the victims being as dumb as possible while trying to escape/survive. They finally smarten up at the end, randomly, because I guess they had to wrap up the movie somehow. There is a bit of a pro-CDC/lockdown/social distancing message but it comes from the killers so I'm not sure if it was meant to be taken seriously or not. Otherwise, it was pretty unbiased politically which was rather nice. Overall, though, I'd recommend finding something else to watch and not wasting your time.

Entertaining but inconsistent
6 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The show as a whole does a good job of combining humor with an interesting plotline of a space cruise ship getting off it's trajectory and being stuck in space for years instead of weeks. However, some episodes fail to deliver and it doesn't seem like it was executed as well as it could've been. The show also frequently lacks any science or logic, with the most egregious example being when the spaceship is somehow able to dock with a space station despite supposedly not being able to control its trajectory. I also find that most of the characters are not very likeable and that likeability tends to come and go. However, with all its flaws, I still found the combination of humor with the drama of watching the passengers of the ship deal with being stuck in space to be entertaining and worth a watch.

Nancy Drew (2019–2023)
5/10
Solid Mystery Ruined with Ghosts
1 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The overall plot and mystery elements of this show are well written with plot twists and excitement. The acting could be better but it's good enough to keep you engaged. It's definitely not traditional Nancy Drew but some of the characteristics are still there with some sexuality added. What kills the show, for me, though, is the addition of too many unnecessary supernatural elements. Several times in the show, Nancy only figures something out after getting a clue from a ghost which seems antithetical to the character of Nancy Drew who was known for her detective work and ability to figure things out on her own. This also leads to episodes that have nothing to do with the primary storyline but are instead about fighting off ghosts or entering the spirit world to return somebody's spirit to their body. If you're into that, maybe you'll like this show. But if, like me, you decided to check out Nancy Drew because you wanted a pure mystery show reminiscent of the books, this may not be for you.
