Mary Kom (2014)

A One-Time-Watch.!

"MARY KOM" is a biographical movie on Mary Kom,four times World champion Boxer. The movie depicts the hardship that a Manipur girl had to go through with, to achieve her dreams.

Priyanka did a marvelous role, justifying her character in every scene. Though she lacked a bit to motivate the viewers as was expected from the promos, her sincerity to the role was attracting. Other characters like her husband and father were at par. The person playing the Coach's role was a disappointment.

Until the interval, the movie moves in a very fast pace displaying various incidents of Mary's life which leaded to her becoming a World Boxing Champion. In the next-half, the movie emphasizes on her family struggle and the comeback to boxing.

There were some unnecessary scenes used, to advertise various products from TATA salt to IODEX balm. Its distracting and unappreciated in serious movies.

Some critical scenes were too filmy. Climax were predict-able, and the little Bollywood drama won't go unnoticed.

Background music and songs will keep viewers interested. National Anthem added in the end of movie was too much.

Conclusion: Family movie. Watchable once. Kudos to all sports-women.
