Back in 1986, Caroline Williams played one of my all-time favorite horror final girls, “Stretch” in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. She has followed that with several more horror movie appearances, taking roles in the likes of Leprechaun 3, Blind, and the recent Nicolas Cage Dracula movie Renfield, among many others. Now The Horror Collective has announced that they’ll be bringing us a Christmas-set (and 80s-set) slasher called He Sees You When You’re Sleeping this holiday season, and Williams is in the cast of that movie as well!
Directed by Charlie Steeds, who is also producing the film with Tom Malloy under his Trick Candle Productions banner, He Sees You When You’re Sleeping has the following synopsis: A young man’s Christmas homecoming turns into a nightmare as a killer in a Santa suit gruesomely picks off his estranged, wealthy family for their fortune.

Bloody Disgusting has learned this week that Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) has joined the cast of He Sees You When You’re Sleeping, a Christmas slasher slated to be released this holiday season by The Horror Collective.
In the upcoming slasher, a young man’s Christmas homecoming turns into a nightmare as a killer in a Santa suit gruesomely picks off his estranged, wealthy family for their fortune.
Williams is joined by Nicholas Vince, known for his role in the original Hellraiser, as well as David Lenik (An English Haunting), Peyton Michelle Edwards (Goodbye Honey), and Lauren Marie-Taylor (Friday the 13th Part 2).
Director/Producer Charlie Steeds said in a statement, “I knew David Lenik’s campy Christmas-themed slasher would be a blast to direct. It’s set in the ’80s and we filmed on location in New York State. The script draws inspiration from horror classics such as Black Christmas,...

The episode of The Test of Time covering Silent Night, Deadly Night was Written by Andrew Hatfield, Narrated by Niki Minter, Edited by Mike Conway, Produced by John Fallon and Tyler Nichols, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Wading through the many aspects of a movie to decide if it stands the Test of Time is one of the fun parts of this journey. Often times, we’ve looked at classics that are genuinely seen as good in most aspects and decide if it was good just for its era or if it was able to transcend its place in time and still be a good time today. Last year we looked at Christmas Evil, a movie that still is underseen, but is a true holiday classic. While Black Christmas is probably on the Mount Rushmore of both Slashers And Christmas Horror and doesn’t require a re-evaluation, what about Silent Night,...

There are a few lyrics in "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" that have always been vaguely creepy ("He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake"), but we never realized their full potential for freaking us out until Liam Neeson came along. The Northern Irish actor is known for his roles in terrifying thrillers like Taken and Love Actually (hey, it depends on who you ask), so he decided to put his particular set of skills to good use during an audition for a mall Santa Claus on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Between his trademark growl and sinister frown, Liam turns Santa (aka "an eye in the sky bringing swift judgment") into Krampus-approved nightmare material. Watch at your own risk, Christmas-lovers. I remember when Legendary Pictures threw a panel in a smaller room in the San Diego Convention Center, giving away copies of "Mass Effect 2" to anyone who showed up to hear them talk about their plans for movies like "Seventh Son," "The Great Wall," and an adaptation of "Mass Effect." They've come a long way. At that point, they were partnered with Warner Bros., and they were looking to define who they were are a company. Oh, sure, they were major financial and creative players on any number of big films already, like Nolan's first two Batman films, Snyder's "300" and "Watchmen," "The Hangover," "Inception," and my beloved "Where The Wild Things Are." But talking to Thomas Tull, talking to Jon Jashni, it was clear that what they craved were films that were theirs from start to finish, movies that they felt undisputedly reflected their sensibilities. It was strange seeing them...

Anne Marie here to spread some holiday scares. Friday the 13th has crept up on us again, bringing joy to thousands of horror fans. If you're a Christmas lover, then these three movies should scratch that holiday horror movie itch. And if you hate the holiday season, then that's all the more reason to watch an evil naked Santa go on a murder spree.
Black Christmas (1976) - This is considered a slasher classic alongside its more famous calendar-themed cousin, Halloween. Black Christmas follows a group of sorority sisters in what I swear must be Canada as a deranged unseen killer picks them off one by one. The cast alone is worth the watch: Olivia Hussey six years after Romeo & Juliet, Margot Kidder two years before Superman, and Andrea Martin twenty six years before she fondled John Corbett's hair and offered him lamb in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. While...

There are so many holiday movies out there, one could conceivably spend the rest of one's life watching them back to back... and it's often tempting to give that a shot. For many -- myself included -- there's nothing better than laughing through the first two hilarious installments of "Home Alone" or sobbing through "It's a Wonderful Life" to snap them into the Christmas spirit.
Not everyone is a sucker for feel-good Christmas movie clichés, however. And once in a blue moon, Hollywood (or a Very independent film company elsewhere) pops out a Christmas flick that doesn't feature clumsy burglars falling down stairs or James Stewart tearfully embracing his family. I'm talking about scary Christmas movies, or at least holiday movies that are meant to be frightening but come across as comically ridiculous. The seasonal red and green colors take on new meaning when the red...
