Well, I have to give this PPV some credit. It's truly did dismember ECW. Man, was that show, awful!

Warning: Spoilers
When WWE, then WWF (World Wrestling Federation) bought, the bankrupt wrestling promotion, ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) in 2001, after ECW was unable to secure a new national television contract. Many of its hardcore fans hope that new-owner, Vince McMahon would be able to sell the idea of another promotion to the network heads to the best of his abilities. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, as McMahon couldn't get anywhere to aired the promotion, as a whole, due to ECW's somewhat ultraviolent & offensive content & their past rocky relationship with Spike TV, then TNN, which at the time, was WWE's parent network, despite, the promotion sharing many similarities that made WWE, into a money-making machine. Instead, McMahon went with another plan to get ECW, some airtime, by having a lucrative head to head cross-promotion storyline, call 'the Invasion', which sadly, didn't get over, as it should had. By the end of that year, the idea of ECW as its own brand, was canned. It wasn't until 2005, ECW was once again, revived by the WWE with the success of its one-off reunion pay-per-view, 'One Night Stand'. With that success, McMahon was able to get a national television contract with Sci Fi (now known as Syfy) in 2006, and the rebirth of ECW was in full swing with their first PPV back, call "December to Dismember', whom name was taken from an event held by the original ECW in 1995. Unfortunately, ECW's relaunch had problems. In order to reach the largest amount of audiences to make the show, a success. WWE had to do some drastic changes. First off, they had to town down, the violence & the raunchy nature of ECW, by making it more family-friendly. Second off, they had to fit in, certain elements to get Sci-Fi channel, key audiences to tune in, such as having more supernatural characters. Because of the negative reactions from old school fans to these changes & WWE's marketing team, being too busy, with promoting one of its biggest PPV, 2006's 'Survivor Series', one week prior to this PPV. It was looking like, ECW's first relaunch PPV, following their first couple of weeks of show on Sci-Fi, might end up, turning into a disaster; which it did. Not only was the PPV panned by critics, but it was the lowest buy rate in WWE history. Let's see, why. First off, the dark match before the show, between Stevie Richards and René Duprée, didn't generate any excitement in the crowd at the James Brown Arena in Augusta, GA. The reason for this, was, because Richards, on his own. Without his BWO buddies or the Flock, he was never that entertaining, with his limited wrestling abilities. Second off, Dupree hasn't been seen in, nearly a year, before this. So, nobody knew or care. This brings us to the opening match. The tag team match between 'the Hardy Boyz' (Matt & Jeff) Vs 'MNM' (Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury with Melina) was a little too slow for my taste. It didn't held my interest. Their rematch at WWE 'Armageddon' (2006) was a little more memorable with their infamous face buster ladder match. This night, contest, could had, been better. The next match between Balls Mahoney vs. Matt Striker was equally as boring. Not only, was both men, limited in what they could do, in the ring, but the stipulation really didn't help, make the match, exciting, as both wrestlers, never once try to break those rules. Plus, Striker's tights were too tight. It was very distracting. Nevertheless, it wasn't the worst match on the card. Nor was, Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay VS. F.B.I. (Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke with Trinity). It was just a squash match with a monster, who couldn't wrestle. Only good thing to come out of this contest, was seeing Trinity with her lovely red dress. Sadly, the selling of monstrosity & awful outdate, semi offensive racist foreign gimmick would continue, with the next match, between Tommy Dreamer and Daivari, as well. The match was forgettable. Great Khali's presence didn't really add much. The mix tag match between Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly vs. Kevin Thorn & Ariel was next. It was the worst. Since, the match was mostly fill with heels, than babyfaces. The fans were not really, into this match, as nobody in this contest, had any skills in the ring. Even the women being extremely hot, gave, this match little to cheer, about. It was awful. That's brings us to the main event, the Extreme Elimination Chamber for the ECW Championship between the champion, Big Show & his challengers: Rob Van Dam & CM Punk & Test & Hardcore Holly & Bobby Lashley. Without spoiling too much the match, Sabu was originally supposed to be part of this, but he was written off, viva la 'injury', off-camera, earlier the night, effectively showing how, untrustworthy WWE think of the ECW Originals, after the RVD drug possession arrest scandal, from June 6. Nevertheless, despite being a huge bully in real-life, I didn't mind, Holly in this match. I just wish, he didn't have to replace Sabu. That's all. If anything, Test should had been replace. That steroid junkie is very limited in the ring. Better yet, Big Show. He looks very unhealthy. He's really out of shape, here. Regardless, WWE misused the younger talent, big time, here, by barely using Punk & given, Lashley, too much, leeway, despite having a bland personality. Add the odd order of elimination, how little, the weapon were use, and the limiting sets of moves by the competitors & you got a really disappointing main event. It was so bad, that fans start chanting 'we want refunds'. I don't blame them. Overall: It was an atrocious show with little build up & way too many short matches. This event help killed ECW for a second time, & nearly destroy, Paul Heyman's WWE career. I really don't recommended watching it. It's really that bad. Watch original ECW, instead.

This is it. This is the PPV that will be marked down as the final blow to ECW
Punisher5524 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
What a stupid boring Pay Per View. The entire thing was 2 hrs and 18 mins! 40 dollars!? Are you INSANE!? Aside from the "extreme" (ly crappy) elimination chamber which for some odd reason was verrrryyyyyyyyyyyy short there were no hardcore matches at all. In fact, the entire PPV was like 5 one on one boring matches that felt like a huge count down to a short finale. They didn't even supply enough of those to make it atlest 2 1/2 hours.

This PPV wasn't extreme. In fact, this PPV reminded me of side wrestling shows like "Sunday Night Heat" or "Velocity" or "Wcw Saturday Night or Worldwide" The biggest thing that made me angry was that Sabu wasn't in the final match, because of some stupid plot twist where he gets hurt backstage. So this means only 2 REAL Ecw stars are in the final event. RVD and CM Punk, the rest are stupid Raw and Smackdown characters who weren't popular or liked much.

The entire thing felt so differently then Ecw and nowhere near the quality of One Night Stand. What happened that changed this? One Night Stand 2 was matter of months before this and yet this is so different, why? Watch the DVD and you'll see what I mean. The entire thing felt so dull and lifeless.

Warning: Spoilers
ECW December to Dismember :2 years ago WWE had a good idea- a one night only PPV featuring the stars of the now defunct ECW in a special PPV event.Between the PPV buys and the sales of the DVD -WWE went ahead with a second PPV- which was fine- although it lacked the one night only luster of the first.Of course Vinny Mac felt the need to capture this buzz and manages to convince the sci-fi network to carry his retooled ECW brand.Things start to go sour- first Rob Van Dame the extremist that first mentioned the ECW One Night Stand concept and the most successful and over of the ECW champs and the ECW/WWE champ gets pulled over with pot(not a huge surprise for a grappler featured in High Times magazine). So WWE decides to strip him of the belt - and decide to import the Big Show to the ECW to be champ- this enrages the hardcore ECW fans-which leads to an infamous match in NYC - where the fans belittle the product during the main event of a live broadcast- chanting "change the channel" and "TNA" during the awkward main event of the ECW show. This all leads to this turd of a DVD- the second ECW brand PPV this year and the first utilizing the extremists of the minor league brand of the WWE corporation.Going into this PPV - only 2 matches were announced- a one night only tag team reunion between the Hardy Boys and MnM and the 6 man extreme elimination chamber match for the ECW strap. The opening tag-team match had some good spots and got the crowd into the event.Sadly things go from bad to worse- we are told that Sabu is injured and won't compete- which is fine - I guess- except he is featured in the cover art of the DVD.Either way after one match- there is a lot of time to fill-so we get a retread of what is on the ECW TV show- no special matches- just the roster full of folks that aren't charismatic or talented enough to be featured on Smackdown or Raw.After and hour plus of sub-par matches- it is time for the main event. The 6 man extreme elimination chamber- featuring crowd favorites RVD and CM Punk and Bobby Lashley and a heel contingent.Sure there are some nasty spots throughout the main event - but a match featuring a huge cage, weapons ,3 legit headliners and tons of spots- still manages to enrage the crowd so much that they are chanting "change the channel" and"TNA(a rival rasslin' league). The DVD does include extra interviews and a rematch between 2 of the wrestlers the following Tuesday. Not worth getting unless you are a collector or masochist. Vince McMahon Dismembers ECW
CrassActionHero3 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Wow. What a show. I still can't believe this happened.

"ECW" December to Dismember December 3,2006 Live on PPV.

"ECW" is on. The first PPV to the new "C" show is here.

Spoilers ahead******

First Match: Hardys v. MNM: This is a good opener. The newly reunited Hardys have been on a roll with the tag team division lately. We also see the reunion of another great team of MNM. This match went on for at least 25 minutes. Both looked really good and had a solid match. The length of the match might have turned off the crowd, but in the original ECW, this would have been a showstopper. Awesome. Hardys win clean.

Second is Balls Mahoney v. Matt Striker: This is declared an UN-extreme rules match. And boy was this UN-extreme all right. I can't understand the dichotomy of Balls Mahoney in a match without a chair shot. Dead crowd. Bad match.

Get this: Sabu is "Injured" and can't compete in the chamber match later. Inane. Sabu is so tough he once broke his jaw in ECW and taped his jaw back with duct tape and continued the match! This is stupid punishment here and it sucks.

Third is Elijah Burke and Sylvster Terkay v. F.B.I.: for a squash match, this wasn't bad. Burke and Terkay are booked quite well. Burke has tons of charisma too. Too bad bout the F.B.I. being jobbers here, considering the talent level of Little Guido. Okay match. Burke & Terkay win.

Oh no! Sabu is gone in an Ambulance!! Oh NO!! Lame. ECW's Evil Kenivel does not deserve this.

Fourth is Daivari v. Tommy Dreamer: This was a bad match. Khali is ejected early and Daivari wins with the stupid pulling of the tights win. How WWE is that. Tommy Dreamer in ECW would have to be beaten to a pulp before losing. Dreadful.

And now Bob Holly is taking place of Sabu in the Chamber. Ah, yes. The usual bait-and-switch garbage. Why Holly and not the Sandman?

Mike Knox and Kelly v. Ariel and Kevin Thorne is fifth: Nothing to see here folks, nothing at all. This was awful. Knox didn't wanna tag Kelly and Ariel pinned her. Poor Thorne. He's got some talent. He needs to branch out. At least the Sandman made his presence felt tonight afterword by whaling on Thorne with the cane. First and only big pop of the night.

After we see Micheal Cole plug Smackdown's Armaggedeon PPV, Paul Heymen cuts a promo. Heymen says that ECW will outlive Hogan and Flair. I wouldn't bet on that Paul E.

Main Event: "Extreme Elimination Chamber Match":RVD and Holly start out. Not much of a start till CM Punk comes in with a Chair shows up. Then Test with the crowbar shows up. This is a booking mess with RVD pins CM Punk easily. CM is the first down. Who booked this??? Test then wasted Holly with a kick to the face and then BEAT RVD. Yep. Punk and Van Damn are gone. The fans looked angry. I even heard a "We want a refund" chant. I hear ya. Lashley pinned Test with a spear. Now I hear "Boring" chants. This is getting worse. Needless to say, Lashley defeated Big Slow for the title.

Wait. My clock says this ended only twenty minutes after the hour??? That's it? Not only was this bad, but it ended early too. Lashley is the champ. You know the guy that was not trusted to main event The No Mercy PPV a few months earlier? Yep him.

The Last Word: Atrocious. This is a huge runner-up for worst PPV of the year. Halloween Havok 91' and King of the Ring 95' have a new contender for worst of all time. This should have been renamed: "Let's Punish the Fans".

ECW December to Dismember 2006
wrestlingsitewebmaster9 December 2006
December to Dismember was/is by far the worst Pay Per View that the WWF/WWE has done. Let down by crap feuds, strange commentery from Tazz and Joey Styles and a weird speech cut by Paul Heyman this was a proper shambles. The best match was between The Hardyz and MNM but WWE put these two teams on the card because they realised that the card stank even before it got aired.

The Elimination Chamber Match was supposed to have Sabu taking part, but WWE shot a p*ss poor angle were we meant to believe that Hardcore Holly had attacked Sabu backstage which was met by chants of "bull s*it" from the crowd.

Joel Ross and Simon Rothstein from The Sun (www.thesun.co.uk) conducted an interview with Paul Heyman about this fiasco and Heyman stated that his original plan was to have CM Punk defeat The Big Show with the Anaconda Vice to lift the ECW Championship which meant perfect sense right? Well not in the eyes of Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn, as we all know they wanted muscle man Bobby Lashley to lift the gold which he did, some fans actually turned their backs on Lashley when he won and rumour has it Rob Van Dam's wife Sonia was one of these fans.

And what gets me is that McMahon has fired Paul Heyman for this but McMahon is the one who makes all the decisions about PPV outcomes.

Results from the show:

The Hardy Boyz defeated MNM in a thrilling match.... Daivari defeated Tommy Dreamer in a boring match.... Balls Mahoney defeated Matt Striker in a mediocre match.... Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay defeated The FBI in a crap squash.... Kevin Thorn and Ariel defeated Mike Knox and Kelly Kelly in a p*ss poor match which was the worst match of 2006.... Bobby Lashley won the ECW championship defeating Test, Rob Van Dam, Hardcore Holly, Big Show and CM Punk in a poor Elimination Chamber match.

Overall Grade - E

December to Dismember was EXTREME......LY Bad
jameslj-cannon4 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I have to tell you, I was looking forward to this event for weeks, mainly because of the huge main event, The Extreme Elimination Chamber. Well I can tell you this, I was shocked. I was shocked at how poor this event was. It's definitely up there with the Great American Bash and Cyber Sunday as worst ppv of the year. Well here are the match results from DTD:

Match 1:The Hardy Boyz vs. MNM. This match was very impressive. In my opinion, this was the best match of the night. They were at it for nearly thirty minutes!!! I normally hate tag team matches, but I was enthralled with this one. The Hardyz won when Jeff delivered a swanton bomb to both Mercury and Nitro. Winners: The Hardy Boyz

Match 2:Matt Striker vs. Balls Mahoney. This match showed just what was wrong with this ppv. Only two matches were on the card until the day of the event. This match did not deserve to be on any card for any ppv. It was absolutely abysmal to say the least. Mahoney won, but no-one seemed to care. Winner: Balls Mahoney

Match 3:Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay vs. The FBI. Wow. This match was incredible. I couldn't believe how.....AWFUL THIS WAS. It was just an excuse for Burke and Terkay to beat the snot out of the FBI, who in my opinion deserve better than this. Winners: Burke and Terkay

Match 4:Tommy Dreamer vs. Daivari (with the Great Khali). I'm beginning to get bored telling you how bad these matches are, but this took the status for worst match of the night. In true WWE style, Dreamer lost by getting rolled up and having the tights pulled. Considering this is supposed to be Extreme wrestling, getting rolled up is a ridiculous way to end a match. Khali beat the hell out of Dreamer at the end, but I lost interest. Winner:Daivari

Match 5:Mike Knox and Kelly Kelly vs. Kevin Thorn and Ariel. Another horrible match, can you notice a pattern?? Knox left his girlfriend at the mercy of the wannabe vampires. Kelly Kelly can't wrestle to save her life. Fact. Sandman interrupted the beating, and knocked the crap out of Thorn with his Singapore cane. That woke the crowd from it's coma. Winners:Thorn and Ariel

Match 6:The Extreme Elimination Chamber. Sabu was originally supposed to be in this match. The fact that he was removed from this match and replaced by the mega star Bob Holly effectively killed it. Heyman made a big speech before the start of the match about ECW outliving Hogan and Flair. I think someone should slap some sense in to him after this catastrophic event. Anyway, RVD and Bob started the match. A dull five minutes. C.M Punk was then introduced with the weapon that was in his chamber, a steel chair. Before you knew it RVD was busted open above his left eye. Punk, the fan favourite was eliminated first by RVD to the five star frog splash. What the hell??? Bob soon followed after Test entered the match with a crowbar, and nailed Bob with the big boot. What happened next was another travesty. RVD was eliminated. Test placed the chair on RVD's head, went to the top of Big Show's chamber, and delivered a huge elbow drop on the chair. That just about killed the ECW faithful. Lashley was next in, he beat the hell out of Test by throwing him through two chambers, and hit him with a spear. Big Show was released last with a barbed wire baseball bat. The bat was not used at all. Show got busted open after clattering into the chain wall. He was then thrown through another chamber by the powerhouse. They got back in the ring for about two minutes, before Lashley won by spearing the big man. Lashley won, but the ECW fans were rightfully p****d off because of how this match panned out. Winner and new ECW champion: Bobby Lashley

Well thats about it. A word of warning though. If you are a fan of ECW and you have not seen this event, then I suggest to you not to go anywhere near it. DTD is absolutely terrible. This event has practically put one of the final nails in ECW's coffin. Unless something drastic is done, we can once again, reluctantly, say goodbye to Extreme Championship Wrestling.

ECW Gets Killed Off In Worse Fashion Than 2001
Ikilledthescene4 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This P.P.V Was absolutely Atrocious and pretty much showed the entire world just how Vinny Mc's vision of ECW is more twisted than a Kaledoscope.

The opening Bout for the night was the highlight of the show and actually showed some promise. The newly re-united MNM - which actually has some roots in ECW (As Joey Mercury was part of a tag combo with Christian York during the Company's dying days) and The Hardy Boyz, who have recently been on a roll in the Tag Team division (A Move I'm completely Against as Jeff and Matt should remain as Singles competitors) A Solid Match but it lasted Far to long than any of the crowd were interested in. Some good Spots but nothing more than Mediocre.

The Second match showed just how quickly and ill promoted the Card for the show was as it featured Matt Striker Vs Balls Mahoney - DUD , One of the worst bouts I've seen in a long time Kelly Kelly & Mike Knox Vs Ariel and Kevin Thorn - DUD - It became clear that Kelly can wrestle for S*** shes nothing more but (very good) eye candy Kellys breasts made this match good. Im still not big on Kevin thorn or Mike Knox

Tommy Dreamer and Daviari in a Typrically WWE Match which Daviri wins but a pull of the tights school boy roll up - AWFUL Finally the last match came but earlier in the night Sabu had been taken out - this is the same man that ripped his arm open in a barbed wire match and taped his arm back together to continue the match, So ECW Fans who had paid there good money to watch the main event (which other than the Hardyz/MNM Match was the only match announced) were suddenly screwed out of a vital part of the main event.

The replacement............ BOB Holly Not the SANDMAN, a man who is an ICON in ECW But bob holly...........A Man everyone got bored of about 7 years ago The Main event was particually bad which showed the WWE Bias booking as the only Two Real draws than anyone cared about were obliterated in under 15 Min's. C.M Punk - the hottest and arguably most talented on the Roster ATM and R.V.D - The only other ECW Original in the match gone. Test was my favourite to win this one but Bobby Lashley (who is impressive) won the ECW Championship......This man joined 2 weeks ago and is already the freaking champion Basically this PPV WAS AWFUL AWFUL And very reminiscent of WCW in its dying days when matches were thrown together to the delight of no one and usually with absolutely no Promotion. ECW Is definitely losing its way and Vince McMahon is literally crapping all over the ECW Legacy AVOID

The Nail in ECW's Coffin.
BigSmoke6429 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Truly trulet awful. This event was one of the worse WWE have ever put on. I just can't believe Vince McMahon let it happen...then again this is the man who gave us King of The Ring 1995 and the World Bodybuilding Federation. It was just terrible beyond belief. Living in England I got this for free on Sky Sports so I stayed up to watch it...how terrible a move it was for me. OK so after match one The Hardyz vs. MNM which was a poor effort from both teams (but turned out to be the best match of the night) expectations were not so high. I was hoping that the main event would be good as my favourite wrestler is Sabu. Oh hang on whats this.... Sabu is injured....and who's his replacement....Not So Hardcore Holly. I respect Holly. I think his comeback from a life threatening illness was very brave of him but that dosen't make him a good wrestler. OK next match. Matt Striker vs. Balls Mahoney in a Strikers Rules Match. Strikers Rules basically means crap. Mahoney won in a poor match. This was followed by 3 awful matchs Sylvester Terkay and Elijah Burke def. The F.B.I., Daivari def. Tommy Dreamer...awful the worst...then Kevin Thorn and Aerial def. Kelly Kelly and Mike Knox, all four fighters looked terrible. Paul Heyman came out and put on a brave face for the cameras but you could tell he was gobsmacked at how crap it was. Finally the Extreme Elimination Chamber which turned into the RVD Show. He was third eliminated and it just went downhill from there. Winner and new ECW Champ Bobby Lashley. Paul Heyman looked gutted and disgusted and it looked like he meant it and it just wasn't for kayfabe. Shocked and appalled at the new ECW Heyman walked out on WWE the next week. Good on Paul. ECW hopefully will be cancelled in the next month or so. It so bad...

What A Piece Of Garbage.....
Joe 257 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Sure, this may have had maybe two decent matches. The Hardys defeating MNM was cool, but it does NOT belong on an ECW ppv. The elimination chamber match had to have been better than that crappy one at Survivor Series '03.

Sure, I think Ariel is ultra hot, but does she make me want to go out and actually buy this garbage? I think even if I got it for free, I'd give it away to someone else. The two ECW One Night Stand ppvs were awesome, with '05 being the better of the two, even though the DVD version is a total abomination.

If you're a real fan of ECW, not this lame and tired WWECW garbage, then you'll avoid this like the plague.

Interesting Pay-Per View
JMichael2220 July 2017
For the most part this was a very interesting Pay-per view event from my point of view. I saw it simply as a great event with a lot of swings at an attempt to put over the "New Breed" of ECW superstars. So many factors played into the way each match was presented. As many people already know this is considered to be "The worst" event ever produced but I disagree. If you really give it a chance and look at it from the perspective of the New ECW vs. The Old ECW it might entertain you more then you'd think, especially if you watch previous episodes of ECW on Sci-Fi which I recommend you do before watching this event.

Extreme Alright, Extremely Crappy PPV.
morantjavonte19 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
ECW December to Dismember Thoughts

December to Dismember was a PPV event produced by the WWE. It took place December 3, 2006 at the James Brown Arena in Augusta, Georgia. With buyrate being 90,000, the event held the record of the lowest buyrate in WWE history. Being held a week after Survivor Series and 2 weeks before Armaggedon, it's easy to see why. Plus it being an exclusive for the newly rebooted ECW brand that was not well-liked and had only 2 matches advertised, it's obvious this was ment to fail in numbers. The event is also regarded as one of the worst PPVs in WWE history.

The main event build up 6 weeks prior to this was the Elimination Chamber. The Big Show was set to defend against Bobby Lashley, CM Punk, Rob Van Dam, Test, and Sabu. The last was changed during the event due to a disagreement between Sabu and Creative. Instead Hardcore Holly was set join in instead. The only difference of this Chamber was it being build as an Extreme Chamber involving weapons. We also had what was at the time a dream matchup between The Hardys & MNM (despite neither teams being apart the brand).

The Good - The opening match between The Hardys & MNM was the best thing of this show. Match was really good and both teams really did a good welcoming the crowd as opening contestants. It's unfortunate this the only match and time period of the show the crowd loved from start to finish. Only complaint was it was a bit too long.

The Meh - Absolutely nothing.

The Bad - Post the opening tag team match, the show went to an absolute crap show. All 4 non-advirtised matches were terrible and the crowd was very depressed by the end of the show. Chanting multiple negative chants, you almost feel sorry for them. Worst match is even hard to debate and not for a good reason. As for the main event, you could clearly see Vince's interference of Paul Heyman's booking who was the head booker of the ECW brand. Eliminating the two most over stars first in the Chamber killed the match right away with the crowd who chanted "refund". The idea of replacing Sabu with Hardcore Holly also affected the Chamber a lot. At the end, it's never common to have a bad Chamber match but this is a huge example.

Overall - Not going to get into the whole story but Vince refusing to listen to Heyman and not taking the blame for the epic failure of this PPV is sad. Look up the story. At the end, a downright terrible show and by far one of the worst PPVs of the 00s. I think it gets a slight past for being forgettable in way later dates.

Score - 1 out of 10: One of the Worst of all Time

0 = Terrible : 1 = Bad/Lackluster : 2 = Decent : 3 = Good : 4 = Awesome : 5 = One of the Best of all Time :

1. MNM vs. The Hardys - 3.5/5

2. Matt Striker vs. Balls Mahoney (Striker's Rules) - 0/5

3. Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay vs. Full Blooded Italians - 1/5

4. Daivari vs. Tommy Dreamer - 0/5

5. Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly vs. Kevin Thorn & Ariel - 0/5

6. Big Show vs. Test vs. CM Punk vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Rob Van Dam: ECW Heavyweight Championship (Extreme Elimination Chamber) - 1.5/5

Best Match - The Hardys vs. MNM

Worst Match - Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly vs. Kevin Thorn & Ariel

Most Memorable Moment - Ariel beating up Kelly Kelly. Watch the awful match and you'll see why.

Top 5 Performers

1. The Hardys - Great Performance

2. MNM - Great Performance

3. Rob Van Dam - Good Performance

4. Bobby Lashley - Did his part and was his moment.

5. Big Show - Despite everything, somewhat decent in the ring.

I share 2 qualities with this event.
someasshat-9254610 November 2019
Those qualities consist of: Agitating, and Slow. I feel as if that sums up my experience with this event, and it makes me feel sad. All of this feels slow and dragged out (Especially in the last match) and poorly executed, And while you could argue that the first match with the Hardy's may be a saving grace, even that drags in some aspects for me; But that is only the beginning.

First off, most of the roster who are in each match aren't actually from ECW, and while they are really good on their own, they feel unnecessarily included and are rather thrown in. If they were good matches I wouldn't mind at all, and would actually be very happy about such; too bad that isn't the case. CM Punk, Bobby Lashley, along with some others consist in the lineup.

Second off, the matches are incredibly slow and dull in my opinion. For example: You would believe that the Cage Match for the Title Belt, with all the weapons and talent would be really cool, but no, they found a way to drag it out to fit the run-time. The match consists of 5 wrestlers, 2 starting out and 1 each being included every 5 minutes. And suffice to say that they didn't do a whole lot with this, with the only memorable tidbit being the conclusion, with Bobby Lashley winning with a spear, which felt like a poor conclusion. Bear in mind that almost everyone in that match was non-ECW, other than RVD. The circumstances of Sabu being unable to participate due to injuries did perpetuate things for the worse.

Maybe it's just naivety speaking, but making a Cage match fun and interesting doesn't sound all too hard, especially with weapons, and keeping other wrestlers in close contact even in cages.

Third and finally, this just doesn't feel too put together, if that makes sense. I can't reinstate that enough, because everything in terms of setup and roster feels hobbled together, and the slowness of it all shows, and goes hand in hand in the worst way possible.

I just really didn't enjoy this event, I'm sure there are much worse out there, but this has been the worst so far.

Overall, don't watch this one, unless you are interested in seeing the Hardy's. after that, turn the TV off, and go read a book.
