I'm confused...

I've been trying to give this show a chance and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I'm hoping if I hold out a couple more episodes it will be worth the time wasted on some of these first 6. However, I'm questioning the writing more than ever now.

First off, Eve and Marybeth are awful and very dictator-esque. Really? Pulling a gun out on someone to prevent them from trying to fly out because they may die. Maybe tell them what you know and let them decide what they want to do?

Secondly, who let Eve be an authority figure in the sinkhole? We literally know nothing about her past and yet there are literal cops and army officials better qualified, yet she has to have the loudest voice..

Thirdly, how ridiculously selfish is it that Gavin and Rebecca are willing to risk causing an earthquake and killing lots of people to save all of 30 people from the sinkhole...

Fourthly, does Lucas not realize or think about the fact that if they do get out of the sinkhole that they will be obtained by the government? Yet, he is hell bent on getting his heroine back. If he returns with it he would be arrested immediately.

Fifthly, I love how sabertooth tigers and other beasts as well as the "locals" are only an issue when they need to have some kind of filler scene. Last episode they were in their camp and escaped, yet they don't try to find them afterwards.

Lastly, I find it hard to believe that all the events in this episode could take place in one day.. All the traveling from one plane to the other and moving the parts they need, as well as actually doing the repairs to the plane..seems like a stretch to me.

Having said this I think I'll give it two more episodes before I decide to continue the show or not. Unless the next episode is as bad as this one.

My Spoilers Won't Spoil Anything Worthwhile

I'm all for suspension of disbelief if it serves to support an overall good storyline. However, in this case you'd have to drag that disbelief out kicking and screaming, hang it, then draw and quarter it, then throw those pieces through a wood chipper, feed the results to a bunch of feral hogs, and then butcher those and turn them into sausage and feed them to a high school football team.

Still wouldn't make this episode salvageable.

A woman who manages to survive for three years in 10,000BC just starts firing her gun in the direction of her rescue (how on EARTH did she miss her target at that close range?!!?) because she can't wait anymore and panics?

What kind of Doctor does CPR on someone in the backseat, from the front seat, for literally 10 second before giving up and declaring someone dead?

If they can send a drone down, why haven't they sent medical supplies, prescriptions, food, shelters down as well?

They're just drawing random names to go back first and not prioritizing the medically fragile, children, and elderly first?!!?

What kind of idiot is Lucas that he thinks he can somehow smuggle $250K worth of meth onto and off of a military plane and through military quarantine/inspection without getting caught? An idiot that doesn't get that he could probably bring back plants/insects/animal specimens worth WAY more that aren't massively illegal.

Wah, Veronica was a victim too. She's still CHOOSING to fill the role of abuser. Let her get eaten. Hell, use her as bait.

Aside from scrounging food, why has there not been a thorough inventory of all the cars/buildings for tools/supplies/first aid/weapons/survival gear/shelter/etc? They've had the whole bus there and what... 1? Maybe 3 people using it for shelter? That "whole team's worth of softball gear" equates to bats for weapons/hunting/structures, mitts for handling hot food/rocks for cooking, bating gear for armor/protection.

Why does nobody seem worried about predators/other humans until after they've shown up on screen, and then forget about them as soon as they're gone? Nobody thought to ask Diana about them or other threats?

Why does everyone seem to forget that electronics get whacked, and planes crash when they go through the green gash, and somehow don't believe it when they get someone saying "Your plane is going to crash, don't do it?" How do they think their bandaided plane is going to make it back through OK?

Finally, a big F-U to Dr. Aldridge and her super opaque and vague half-assed clues as she leaps from the plane. Lady, you're jumping down the Devil's throat, most likely on a one-way trip out his ass to 10K years ago... if you want to have a better chance of Gavin saving you all, then just TELL HIM ALLLLL THE SECRETS. What has she got to lose otherwise?!!? Just insane tv logic.

I am absolutely gobsmacked something so insultingly poorly written makes it on the air, and other brilliant shows get canceled. Two stars for at least trying something new, 1 for a nicely diverse cast, and 1 for the giant land sloth.

Another week of people behaving like nobody in this universe would behave. Let's walk over here. No, let's walk over here. Let's fly around for a while. Let's blow up the plane. Let's talk about things that don't matter. Ok, let's do that some more. Are the crazy villagers still around? Who knows, so let's just forget about them. Oh, and what happened to the predators? They don't seem to care about all the free lunch meat wandering around, so let's take midnight jaunts in the woods, it's all good...

And they cancelled Manifest?

This is awful. It goes nowhere , a random wandering. You will die flying into the hole. If you continue you will die - fighter jets will kill you...aghhh!

A less than mediocre show nosedives off a cliff

The show had potential, but has more plot holes than the 100. Up to episode 5 it was tolerable. Now like others have said, there are no predators, no locals, and people are randomly crazy. The federal agent having fighter jets on standby in 5 seconds and using against a civilian makes no sense, Gavin not flying into the tear makes no sense. Iz flipping 180 and not wanting her dad to save her mother and brother makes no sense. The had a lazy writer before but now they seem to have a senile one.

Im Going to save your life even if it mean killing you??? WTF

Eve and Marybeth's actions and behaviour this episode was beyond terrible. If the following episode doesn't show them facing actually proper consequences from the other people there......than this show will just be managing to fall to a new level of stupid.

No one was making them or there kids be on the first flight, everyone had the same exact information they did yet they decided it wasn't there right to decide if the risk was worth it.

The show continues to have people act and behave in not only unrealistic was but also stupid.

This I the worst dialog in a TV series ever.... EVER.... Who wrote this ??? A group of 5th graders? Omg even the problem solving seems like stuff a child would do.. so bad... only reason I'm watching now is just to make fun of it and the writers.what kills me the most..the mom they are trying desperately to set up as the main character looks up and the hills and said. We are in Hollywood... those hill looks exactly the same... omg do writers not realize that landscapes changes from year to year.. so 1000 years it would look different..5000 years you would not even recognize it...10,000 years no way it would not even be remotely the same...so on and so on...tress grow and die... disasters happen and change landscapes ..... let me put it like this...right now... if a town was on a level flat piece of land...houses here houses there...tress bushes...water towers..buildings... and a tornado came through..destroying everything... removing trees leveling builds....there wouldn't be any landmarks so you wouldn't recognize where you are.... So please writers don't insult us by saying this lady can look at a wooded area and say.. it looks exactly the same...won't happen...not to mention the stupid decisions these people make. Omg the dumbest dumbest things I have ever seen adults do....it has to be written by 5th graders...

Will they ever learn how to act?

The actors are so dry - so emotionless - like they are just reading a script. The script also is pretty bad. How did a project like this get funded? Or, is quality no longer important. I can't wait for this crapshow go extinct.

Nothing electronic worked. Now we have Jeeps with eternal gasoline, radios and cell phones with eternal batteries.... Another meaningless "Lost". OMG .. just missing the gender ideology and the BLM operating 10,000 years in the past...lol.
