coming of age film

Here we go. what a sweet film. This picture kind of reminds me of both Be Kind Rewind as well as napoleon Dynamite. There are some subtle adult references regarding females and their carnal desire to cost money that some would afford. I loved this film from beginning to end. There were times when you just had to feel bad for both main characters. Me, I felt so bad for that boy who had gotten a job and had issues with the copy machine...not only did it sort of become identified as demonic, it had also too gotten the stigma of 666 attached to it, now obviously there were issues along side other co workers who may or may not have been mysteriously implemented during this course of working. Andwith the females in the office sort of hinting at not only Just blowing him off, but regarding their nonchalant comfort of coexisting with the previously implemented mgmt. and or co workers gave this film some anxiety for the viewer. On the other side of the story, we have a boy who is a childhood pal of this office guy going through with the interests of their exploration considering evolution and time that has passed... and some of the greatest scenes culminate into the finale.....if you .remember

I'm a clairvoyant, not an engineer.

Warning: Spoilers
As youngsters Adam (Daniel Lachman) and never doubting Thomas (Kemerton Hargrove Jr.) wore aluminum hats and played ghost hunters. As adults they have bought an EMF detector and do it as a professional hobby. Clients and ghosts are fleeting. Adam breaks up the team by moving to Dallas where he must fight the "goat in the machine," a spirit infested coping machine that spits out pictures of goats. Thomas teams up with Dirk (Mitch Landry) a con man who knows how to scam and make money, conflicting with Thomas' ideal that ghosts are real and he is operating a legitimate business.

The film was light and amusing, but not a side splitter. It is classified as comedy/horror but has no real horror aspect to the film. It is a film for those who like mildly quirky indie productions. It feels the actors put in a half-heart effort into a half-heart film.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
