As a thriller, I'd rate this one a 2. But as a comedy it gets a 4! If you like razzing a movie, this is really a good target.

Alternate title, comedy: "101 Ways to Doom Yourself." (Not really)

Top 13 on the list:

1. Carry a gun with lions around; they seem to find it a capital offense to pack heat.

2. When lost, off-roading in an emergency, speed away from the road you came from, blindly through the trees, downhill.

3. And for God's sake, don't use the brakes.

4. When uncertain about the intentions of strangers, just split up -- especially if they are armed and have recently killed something.

5. When tracking man-eating lions, run wildly through the brush. The higher the brush, the better.

6. When maintaining morale in life-threatening situations, assert any authority you don't have to those around you.

7. When stranded, refrain from taking inventory; if you must do it, wait until at least three people have died.

8. When glass and metal aren't a strong enough blockades, use pillows.

9. Hot-wiring a car is unethical. Don't even think about it.

10. When driving through the desert, carry at most 1/8 of a bottle of water per person.

11. When running low on water in the desert, use only your hands to drink the rain. Never fill water bottles or other containers, unless the containers have a rustic feel that goes with the desert's aesthetic.

12. When traveling through vast, sparsely populated, potentially dangerous terrain, notify no one of your destination or whereabouts. In fact, don't even carry any long-range radio or satellite communications devices.

13. Oh, and scream a lot. It entertains the lions.

Decent animal attack movie..

Judging from the reviews here, I didn't expect much so I was somewhat pleasantly surprised. In a cold winter evening in Sweden it can be pretty nice to see a movie set in the beautiful South African landscape. The story is not much to say about. It's basically "Cujo" but with lions instead of a St Bernard Dog. By far not a great movie, but a pretty entertaining and exciting 90 minutes. Seen to the budget the movie looks pretty good. The acting is also OK, but it could have been a better movie if the script would have been more believable. But that is often the case with this type of movies and it didn't bother me that much.

Generic monster movie, but it's watchable

True story or not (and I'm sure plenty of the facts are manipulated) There is nothing in Prey that we have not seen before. Its generic formula and a certain lack of credibility/scientific accuracy certainly do some damage but they don't make the movie unwatchable.

It certainly could have been worse. For a start, it places a certain value on character, something that many b-movies care little for. There is no obvious reason why we should be rooting against the Newman family, who get screwed while on an African safari.. Their guide is attacked and killed by a lion while escorting the youngest Newman on a pee break. The hapless family is forced to hide and wait in the lousy little tour jeep, until Mr. Newman shows up (he's working construction on a local dam) Meanwhile, three hungry lions are waiting patiently outside.

So the film doesn't have us disregarding the protagonists, that's a start. another advantage is the lions being real. There is no five cent CGI in this picture to distract us. Well, some of the blood is clearly digital, but most of it is make up. The movie does have it's share of gore, yet nothing too unrealistic or severely overdone. Prey is shot in a heavily saturated colour scheme and because blood is the only red in the film, it really stands out. (although it is certainly not the only film to try this). The acting quality is nothing to be proud of, but it suspends disbelief enough. As long as it doesn't sound like the characters are reading off a teleprompter, I'm fine with that.

So where then does the movie go wrong, well in the same way that many of these films have, it has been done before. Prey is one in a million, and the only possible distinction for one to see is its protagonists being a lion, not a common creature feature creature. If lions sound interesting, my recommendation would be the Ghost in the Darkness.

A roaring bad time

Prey should be retitled The Stupid Family Goes to Africa. If one took this film seriously, which would be a mistake, one could say that this dysfunctional family was responsible for the deaths of several persons who would have been just fine if this family hadn't come to the Dark Continent to make it even darker. Knowing nothing about the private lives of lions, I can guess that the plot was probably highly inaccurate as I cannot imagine why a pride of lions would set their sights on these silly people when there are lots of zebra and wildebeest running around. As I sat open-mouthed(with awe at the lousy direction) waiting for the ending, I felt certain that a film this bad would have to end with one of the most offensive of movie clichés and indeed it did when Peter Weller said, "Let's go Home." This is what I would have said at the beginning of the movie if I had seen it in a theater.

A sappy G-rated movie about connecting with new step-parents, but with lions!

This is a movie about traveling to Africa with your father and his new wife. You just can't relate to her and you really love your mom, so it invokes feelings of anger in you when you have to spend the day with her. I thought this was a horror movie you say, well...yes, that's true. What better way to bond with your new step-mom than fighting for your life against a pack of bloodthirsty lions. Well, not a pack, more like three really. Throw in one short-lived tour-guide and a pair of African poachers and you've got the Prey. B movie? Yes. Worthy of a straight to video release? Absolutely. Scary? Not really. It's actually kind of boring. For most of the movie dehydration in a more pressing concern than the lions. Well, at least it's only 89 minutes!

Scare, yawn, repeat.

This film contains extremely graphic(realistic)violence and is probably not appropriate for preteens. The play on words of the title is the cleverest thing about the film. Otherwise, the film is predictable. The main characters get into and stay in jeopardy by doing dumb things. The middle of the film consists of repeated episodes of attacking and waiting. There are two reasonable outcomes to the situation the family. About half way into the story I got curious about whether the screen writers would find a third possibility. That helped me stick with it to the end. The close up photography of the lions is worthwhile and the work of the lion trainer is impressive. It's a movie to watch on an afternoon when you have nothing better to do.

Dreary modern thriller yarn, with lions

This film pretty much sums up the problem with modern B-movie making. If Prey were made in the seventies, you could bet your bottom dollar that it would have been a gritty exploitation classic; but here in 2007, it's merely a predictable horror yarn where you can pretty much guess everything that's going to happen. The plot concerns a woman and her husband's two kids that get trapped in the middle of the savannah when their safari car breaks down and their guide is killed by lions. From there, it pretty much stretches the climax of Cujo out over eighty odd minutes. There are a few subplots, which involve things such as a family struggle as the daughter doesn't like her father's new wife, and the father himself sets out to save his family 'at all costs'. The film lays all it's cards on the table right from the beginning as we are let into the secret that not a single one of the 'beautiful' central cast is going to come to any harm at all, and that's very annoying as all you actually want to see is them getting eaten alive!

It's annoying that this film is terrible as there's actually a basis for a decent film in the middle of all the sap. There aren't that many horror films about big game, and a seriously good film could be made out of the idea of a bunch of people being stuck in Africa's lion territory. Director Darrell Roodt, who has a lot of experience in making films that nobody sees, fails to make the audience believe that his central cast are in any danger throughout the film; and this is a major flaw as a movie with one selling point needs to make sure that it makes that selling point count! The film doesn't have any atmosphere; the locations look nice, but nothing is made of it and really, anyone with a video camera could have made this film. Peter Weller is the only 'draw' where the cast is concerned, and he's not a big enough draw to ensure that the movie doesn't fail. To be honest, I don't like him much anyway. It doesn't take long for the audience to guess how this film is going to end; and indeed, that is exactly how it does end. The ending made me cringe for all the wrong reasons. There's a fair bit of blood, but other than that; this film has nothing in the way of positive elements, and I don't recommend it!

Cujo only with big pussycats!

Not bad of a movie! Still, has a lot of common with Cujo, the Stephen King adaption. Attacks of big pussycats (okay, there had to be some kind of difference, wasn't there) on a car (jeep) where a woman (duuuuhhh) is trapped with her child (in this case children)... No way out, no food, no drinks... dehydration near... damn... The lions did their job fantastic! And I must say the stepmother was not bad of an actress... only thing I found a bit exaggerated... three hunters (by all means) are killed... and each time they get to kill at least one lion but still another takes revenge... The Male Lion is the real actor in this movie! The way he blew up in that jeep... great! All by all, not a bad movie, but had no new elements! It's worth a Seven, I won't give it more, but certainly won't give it less either!

Predictable and Cliché

Wow, what a complete disaster of a movie. Won't bother with an explanatory breakdown of this gem. Distill any and every animal/fish/bird attack flick into a short series of clichéd, cursory plot points and characters, replace location to Africa and mean beasties to Lions, and you have Prey. Nothing new. Nothing Interesting. Pure cinematic pablum. Seriously, it's so predictable in places, it's actually embarrassing.

Considering the beauty of Africa's lands and creatures - that we've all seen in countless documentaries and other (well made) movies - the fact that Prey isn't even well shot, is another rusty nail in the coffin.

Peter Weller's new history television shows are great, surely he could do better than this tripe.

Enjoyable flick. Love those lions!

This movie will appeal to those who admire 'creature features' or 'monster on the loose' flicks. The story is of a family on safari in Africa who are attacked by a pride of lions. The lions are real (not cgi) so the lion/human attacks look real. The acting was good with Bridget Moynahan stealing the show as the patient and resourceful step mother. Her character probably should have been given a commendation for not throwing the highly annoying teenage daughter to the lions. The story was slightly slow in places with perhaps more twists in the plot and more elaborate lion attacks required to match the excellent "Ghost & The Darkness" (which is the ultimate lion creature feature). However I enjoyed the movie nonetheless and dug the majestic shots of lions on the attack. All in all an enjoyable flick.

Who Knew Getting Chased By Lions Was So Boring?

A father (Peter Weller), his new wife (Bridget Moynahan), and his two children (Carly Schroeder and some boy) go to Africa, where he is overseeing the construction of a large dam. One day as his family goes on safari without him, they decide to go off the road and end up stranded in a field full of bloodthirsty, man-eating lions. That's a bummer. In a country without cellular reception or decent police, how can they be found?

I watched this film because I felt obligated as a horror reviewer to tackle it. Not because it was something I thought would be any good. Usually -- and this is no exception -- my instincts are correct. They found a way to take lions -- the kings of the jungle -- and make them seem like just lazy, overeating cats. I really couldn't care less that a family was surrounded by them (especially since the family does everything possible to dig themselves a deeper hole).

There isn't much good to say about this film, but at least the cast included two good choices: Wisconsin native Peter Weller (still best known for "RoboCop"), and Carly Schroeder, who I recall seeing on "Dawson's Creek" some time ago and telling my friend Kristy that this girl was going to have a bright future. I guess I made a mistake -- I never dreamed she'd end up starring in bad no-budget films.

For the first part of the film, this seems like a weaker version of "Wind Chill" or "Penny Dreadful" due to the idea that a person or small group is stuck in a car surrounded by harsh situations. Is this a new trend in horror? I hope not. At least it's short, but not short enough. And by the way, did this film need to be even 84 minutes? Couldn't it have been written as some special episode of "Hannah Montana" or something?

I didn't like the mother and step-daughter fighting, and the bratty stepdaughter archetype... boring. If I see one more film where the daughter blames her step-mom for everything wrong in the world, I'm going to scream my head off. No matter what happens in this film, the new wife is the enemy.

I really disliked the "lion vision". I have complained and complained and complained so many times in my reviews about "snake vision" and "vampire vision" and "pinata vision"... and this is no exception. I don't care that lions see things differently from humans, and I have no interest in seeing some lame effect to tell me where the lion is. Go ahead and give me "lion cam" but don't give them a special lens. That's just unoriginal and lame.

Every intelligent thing you could do, these people avoid -- they drive too fast, they run and scream from lions, yell for no reason when no one can hear them, go off the designated road to find animals... dumb dumb dumb. I don't feel bad for them in the slightest. The only part of this film that was at all worth watching was the run-in with the natives. There was a strong tension that had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see how they were going to play out a racially-charged rape scenario. And they took it where I never expected them to go with it!

Please don't rent this film, and absolutely don't buy it. I don't want these people thinking they did something right so they can make "Prey II" or some other "When Animals Attack" garbage. This film will go to the cheap bin and then never get a second printing, and I think that's the best thing one could wish upon this waste of my time.

A great thriller

I think some of the comments are not fair to this film at all. I have lived in Africa and I have been attacked, not by Lions but by armed robbers at 10pm.

when I managed to escape, I drove off like a mad woman, almost crashed into a gutter. luckily, the people in the car with me were not screaming and confusing me even more.

Prey was true to life. That is human life, human emotions. To manage to escape from man eating lions, and have a 16 year old screaming in your ear is enough to confuse you and you end up driving into a bush.

it was not meant to be a horror film. it is not exorcist or urban legend. it is an innocent thriller.

I enjoyed it, it was edgy, sad and satisfying. my skin crawled and those lions were great!! buy it and watch it any day. I love Darrel Roodt, he make true to life movies.

A Great Surprise

While working in a dam in Africa, the American hydraulic engineer Tom Newman (Peter Weller) brings his family to spend a couple of days in the Leopard's Rest Lodge. His fourteen year-old daughter Jessica (Carly Schroeder) is having friction with her stepmother Amy (Bridget Moynahan) since she does not accept the divorce of her parents. On the next morning, Amy, Jessica and her brother David (Connor Dowds) go in a game drive with a ranger while Tom goes to the dam. While driving off-road, David asks the ranger to stop the jeep to go to the "toilet", and unexpectedly they are attacked by a group of starving lions that kill and eat the ranger. Amy, Jessica and David are trapped in the jeep and stalked by the wild lions. When Tom returns to the hotel and finds that his family has not returned from the game, he asks for help to the experienced hunter and guide Crawford (Jamie Bartlett) and together they seek Tom's family.

Fortunately I had not even glanced the IMDb Rating and some reviews in IMDb and I had just followed the suggestion of a friend of mine when I decided to buy this DVD. The tense and underrated "Prey" was a great surprise, with a suspenseful and simple but well acted story. Carly Schroeder perfectly performs the annoying character of a typical American teenager; the gorgeous Bridget Moynahan has also a great performance in the lead role of a young stepmother that tries to resolve the relationship problems with Jessica. But the edition of the impressive sequences with the starving lions is very realistic and well-done. In my opinion, the greatest flaw of the story is the absence of a radio in the safari jeep to communicate with the base in emergency situations. Further, I expected more from the experienced Crawford and the two local hunters, and I liked the open conclusion. My vote is seven.

Call me crazy, but a pride of lions being the pinnacle of evil instead of the usual axe-wielding psycho is kind of refreshing. That's where the good stuff I have to say about this one ends. I think this movie is actually the director's cut of the Lion King...you know, the violent part of Simba's life that couldn't be shown in a Disney movie.

This movie is almost like a real-life version of movies like Anaconda, Jaws or Cujo where innocent people are being stalked by a predatory animal that is purely bent on killing them. Like I've already noted, I really like the idea. Being out in the middle of nowhere and not at the top of the food chain is a scary thought to me...which is why this movie sparked my interest.

However, it didn't deliver like I hoped for. Check it out if you'd like but don't get your hopes too high.

pathetic

there are dangers in Africa. there are dangers even in fancy safaris. that is why safari camps, game preserves-private and public- pay particular close attention to the safety of vacationers. the writers and producers of this film clearly took zero time actually investigating anything to do with African safaris. it is too bad because there are certainly exciting, thrilling and even terrifying stories to be made. if they had written this script with any basis in fact it could have been watchable instead of down right laughable. the African vistas are beautiful, though--impossible to get that wrong. sadly even the characters are quite poorly constructed. perhaps in a better realized plot, the underdeveloped characters would not be so noticeable. but, as is, the actors play one simplistic note glaringly.

An exercise in stupidity

CUJO with lions is the plot in a nutshell for this cheap 'n' schlocky B-movie made and filmed in South Africa. The slim plot sees a stepmother and her two kids - a teenage brat and her younger, slightly less irritating brother - trapped in a car with a pride of lions outside, hungry for their flesh. The storyline evolves with lots of attempted suspense and lion attack scenes, but it all comes across as silly and superficial.

I can forgive the shoddy camera-work, the cheesy effects, and the bizarre decision to give the lions some kind of 'killer vision', a la PREDATOR. I can give the annoying characters and the lack of realism. Hell, at least there are no CGI lions in this one, and there is at least one recognisable actor in the cast; namely ROBOCOP's Peter Weller, given to slumming it in B-flicks these days, it seems.

But what I can't forgive is the stupidity of the characters and thus the script. In PREY, stupidity is the excuse to drive the plot forever. Time and again our protagonists could save themselves or at the very least turn the situation to their advantage, but instead they do something stupid which sends them back to square one. The worst bit is where the woman drives the jeep so badly that she crashes it; this sequence is absolutely nonsensical, and had me howling at the screen. Just what were they thinking? It's silly stuff like this that makes the film a vapid exercise in fear-building, and just once I'd like to see a B-movie where the characters are smart and can actually think for themselves.

Watch stupid people being directed by bigger Idiots

I had to kill some time. But 40mins in and I wanted to see the lions tear apart the 3 stupid fools stranded.

Here are 2 stupid scenes that got me to cut my misery before it got the point where I'd offer myself to the lions.

* When you get the keys to the car and all you have to do while safe in the vehicle is turn around and go back. But the dumass drives straight through the bushes and trees only to get stuck in a ditch. Apparently, brakes were not provided.

* When Lions are outside your vehicle, you don't run around the screaming to get the attention of a helicopter miles away.

Honestly, I feel I should quit my day job, repent for my college and post grad education and just make movies. Its evident the qualification to commercialize movies like these is the ability to hold a camera, hit record and do stupid stuff.

Low budget and cheap, but very entertaining concept

I enjoyed Prey. This film managed to create a good atmosphere that commingled with how the story was told. For me, I thought this film was really good, considering that there are no other animal attack films in it's genre. To go with such an animal as a lion for your script, they pulled off this film exceptionally well, no matter how bad it appears at times.

I love how when the lions would knock the people down a peg, they would build themselves back up using their surroundings, which some people might call them stupid, I call them swift and on their feet, for people who have just been stranded out in the safari. If you have not seen this film, pay no attention to the rating and negative comments. If you like animal attack movies good enough, you will watch this one, because it's a movie not to miss for rare film seekers, and if you have seen it, I beg of you, please watch it again and you'll see just how good of a movie it is.

On another note, I watched this movie with my friend and her family and they liked it a lot. Take it for what it is.

stupid but funny

OK, this was by far the most comic and stupid movie I think I've ever seen. it made me laugh out loud when it was suppose to be scary. lol the fact that the director clearly never have watched Animal Planet, is just a hint of how stupid this movie was.

I mean, the main actress wasn't bad, she played her role well, and she brought this film together. but it wasn't actually together, cuz it was so bad. that little kids acting, was revolting and I hoped time and time again that some lion would eat him already. The girl, well, she didn't have that hard a role, but I guess she made it through barely. the father, aff, well. no comment. It was quite funny when the car blew up, and we see the father standing waiting for his wife, and his shirt hangs out of order so it looks like his flyer is open. with that concerned look on his face, it was quite hysterical.

but the thing was, I don't buy this one minute. first of all, lions don't just attack a jeep. they see jeeps all day long. they don't care about jeeps. and i don't think a lion would lie around that same car and follow it for miles to finish off whatever is inside. and that boy from Africa , walking in the middle of nowhere with a machete,. Well, i guess since he is from around that neighborhood, my guess is he wouldn't do that.. and when that gun went off? what was all that about, they didn't even mention what happened. the another lion storm out and kill the African man whose JOB was to kill lions for a living? Baka baka baka. and that is appointed to the director, not the African.

the most funny part EVER in this movie, and maybe in movie history, is when the movie has 30 sec left, they have just killed TWO lions, and the father embraces the kids and his wife, starts WALKING towards a direction WITHOUT a gun or any kind of weapon, after the one lion killed the guide, and he says in a hero-like manner " Lets go home"...

wahahahahhahaahha

like, hmmm why didn't they think of that before? humm. its not normal that there are only 2-3 lions in a pack, so u can count on that there are more lying around waiting for food to jump in the air. and these guys don't know s*** about Africa, OR where they actually are.

but, all in all, I WOULD recommend this movie, just for the laughs of it.

Cat version of Cujo If you've seen Stephen King's Cujo, you'll like Prey. Prey is about a step mom and two kids who get stuck in a Range Rover on the African savanna and are stalked by a pride of man eating lions. Dad goes off to work leaving step mom to bond with the kids on a sight seeing trip. The guide gets killed by a lion and the girl bickers to the point where she deserves a good face slap. They make mistake after mistake and you're never quite sure whether they are going to be rescued.

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion PROWLS tonight!

During a recent trip to South Africa I went on a safari and when approaching the lions' territories, the guide stopped the jeep, switched off the engine and turned towards the crowd for an extended word of warning. He reassured everyone that lions are the most ferocious and unpredictable predators on the land and that they would attack humans as easily as they would gazelles. He also said the jeep would constantly remain on the main roads, even if this meant we wouldn't see any lions from up close. Yet, what's the first thing the safari guide in this movie proposes? "Hey, what do you say we head off the main roads and meet some of the real African dangers?" Well, there go all of Prey's points for plausibility and accuracy. But hey, you can't be too harsh and I guess these types of obvious clichés are even inevitable in a horror movie revolving on man vs. nature. Now the real problem here is the severe lack of disposable supportive characters! Since there are only four people in the jeep, you immediately know only the guide is likely to get devoured. The other three are members of the same family so they'll survive, especially since one of them is a little kid and the other two are a arguing stepmother and a teenage girl that'll need this adventure in order to connect as friends. What the script needed were more annoying tourists to feed to the lions! Later in the film, some extra people volunteer to get eaten but nearly not enough. Quite a shame because the lions' attacks are impressively filmed and the make up effects are surprisingly engrossing and shocking. Native South African director Darren Roodt even manages to create a suspenseful atmosphere prior to the attacks, which is rather praiseworthy. Also compensating for the overload of holes and illogicalness in the plot is the beauty of the African landscapes and the supplementary wildlife footage (like the opening sequence illustrating a lion's nightly hunt at a zebra). The acting performances are adequate, I guess, although the balding Peter Weller (the original Robocop) and the ravishing Bridget Moynahan (The Recruit, Lord of War) don't form a very convincing married couple. "Prey" is not a very great film, but there are far worse ways to spend an hour and a half of your time.

Pretty good horror film that suffers from clichés.

Tom Newman (Peter Weller), his new wife Amy (Bridget Moynahan), his daughter Jessica (Carly Schroeder) and his son David (Connor Dowds) are traveling to Africa for a holiday. While Tom is supervising the new damn being build there. Jessica really hates his new stepmother, while Amy tries her best to have a relationship with her stepdaughter. Tom thinks that his wife and his two kids will have a great time, if they went on a tour to see Wild-Life Animals in off-road. Since Tom can't go with them, because he's on business. Once they left on the tour, the driver (Marius Roberts) of the tour thinks they will see on action on the off-off road. But when they stopped in the middle of nowhere, since David needs to go in the bathroom. They find themselves stalked and hunted by Lions. Since they killed the driver, they are stuck there and they can't leave... because the driver took the keys with him. Now Tom finds out that his family haven't come back and also he fears that his family are in danger. Since Park Rangers and Search & Rescue can't find them. Tom decides to hired an tough hunter Connor (Jamie Barlett), who knows his way in the land of Arfica. Now Amy and the two kids are trying to stay alive to defending themselves in the Jeep before it's gets worse.

Directed by Darrell Roodt ("Cry, The Beloved Country-1995", "Dangerous Ground", "Sarafina!") made an watchable, modestly entertaining horror thriller suffers from a been there, done that script. The film is somewhat laughable in the first act at times, especially in some tense moments. Jessica character played by Schroeder does gets in your nerves at first but she improves, once you get to know her. Moynahan and Weller gives fairly good performances in this uninspired but technically well made movie.

DVD has an sharp anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) transfer and an good Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. DVD doesn't have any features at all. Roodt certainly does gives tribute to horror films like "Cujo" and "The Pact" Which it certainly makes me remember of these better horror movies. This picture was made for theatrical release for the U.S. but it got release to Direct to DVD instead. It was probably due of the script of the movie didn't seen commercial enough for "The Weinstein Company". "Prey" isn't a total failure. It does have its moments and i thought the ending was great. CGI Blood gets to be a bit much, since the premise has a realistic setting. It's a well made horror film that certainly fun to watch around Holloween time. The Screenplay by Beau Bauman, director Roodt, and Jeff Wadlow (Cry_Wolf) could have been better if it had more originality and less clichés that usual. Close but no cigar. Super 35. (*** 1/2 out of *****).

What I liked about this film is that it was a decent animal attack movie with a good cast that didn't consist of American actors that tried to mimic a south African accent, it also despite clichés maintained a good pace and good suspense.

My main complaint is the unnecessary use of C.G.I, which was mainly used for gore effects, doing gore using C.G.I only works if its done well, which in this case it isn't it looks completely weak and makes the attack scenes look so cheesy it ain't even funny I think if they left the C.G.I out entirely and did it the old fashion way it would've worked much better in many ways.

Granted it is decent in its own respect but is also heavily clichéd and basically a great way to pass the time but is mainly flawed by its effects and whether you like it or not, its up to you.

Movie is Waste!

I must Say This movie is a complete waste.I have personally went on a trip on vast African Savanna.They Don't Attack People,yet they are afraid of them. and besides in the movie in the part where the step mom has to go out get the keys , why couldn't she just start the car manually , its just 2 wires you need to attach and when they found the keys & started the car,they drive their Car to who knows where,well they could have just moved backward and got along the road and why couldn't they just get the rifle instead of keys it was much closer to the car. like i said the plotting of the movie was very bad.i heard old tigers attack people but lions i don't think so.

trivial lion kills all round them sort of movie

This should be shown to all Safari travelers as a test case in how to deal with the bush. That way there will be less tourists and the lions will have to get back to eating antelope and stuff.

1/ Always give in to the demands of 9 year old boys that need to go to the toilet in private. 2/ To ensure privacy stop in the middle of nowhere and walk into the long grass for said toilet break. 3/ When shooting at charging lions always do it over the shoulder while running away. 4/ Never hot wire cars as the lions think it's unfair. 5/ Pour out last of water to make a pee pot. 6/ Rely on reflections to locate missing keys 7/ Drive like .. well drive like you are being chased by lions .. straight into a ditch 8/ Don't start a fire to bring help. It might screw up your carbon offset balance sheet. 9/ Scream continuously when lions are looking at you. They love it. 10/Rely on strangers to save your ass at the last minute. 11/Worry about stranger danger especially two black guys with knives. 12/Oh and finally diesel causes big explosions. You can always rely on that.
