Don't get too excited; It's a cheesy fan video.

Warning: Spoilers
The idea that there would be a new Quantum Leap movie after nearly 20 years intrigued me. I was trying to find out where and when this movie would be shown. I figured maybe Sci-Fi would have it. I did more searching and eventually discovered that it is a generic video made by various fans of the show. I actually watched part of it on Youtube. Although I admire the effects they used for certain scenes, I was extremely disappointed in what I saw. The acting was horrible, and it was just a bad idea all around.

If I were you, I wouldn't waste my time looking up this movie. It was horrible.

You'd have to be a woman or whipped to enjoy this movie.
2 September 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I thought this movie would be a little funny. I like Cameron Diaz in "My Best Friend's Wedding" - It wasn't all that, but at least it got some chuckles out of me.

I did not like any part of this movie though. I tried to find something funny or interesting, but I just couldn't. The dialogue was ridiculous and lame. Cameron Diaz and Selma Blair really got on my nerves. Christina Applegate was the only one that had some potential to make me laugh, but even she failed to do that. Watch her in "Anchorman." That was a much better film for her career.

The plot was predictable and lame. Thomas Jane, Jason Bateman, and Parker Posey wasted their acting talents in this film. They should be more embarrassed with "The Sweetest Thing" than George Clooney was with "Batman and Robin." You would think that a film about women feeling each other up and talking dirty would be interesting to a guy like me, but this one was just too stupid. That's what I've come to expect from Cameron Diaz's films ever since she did the first "Charlie's Angels" movie. She's definitely lost her talent.

Hopefully not too many dudes wasted their money on it when it was in theaters. If so, they should ask for a refund. Luckily, I just recently rented it for .99 cents and saw it for the first time. Even so, I still wish I could get my money back.

To any guys out there with girlfriends wanting to rent or buy this movie, don't let them. You're supposed to do anything for the girl you love, but this is just too much.

It has it's ups and downs.
2 September 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't go see this movie in theaters because It didn't look interesting enough. However, when it first came to video, I rented it right away. It's a Happy Madison film, so I didn't expect much originality, but I figured it had the potential to be somewhat hilarious - plus it was rated R and Adam Sandler didn't appear in it -- WooHoo. Sandler was funny at one point, until he kept playing the same character over and over again.

Anyway, Grandma's Boy was an awesomely hilarious film. Since Allen Covert was going to play a big part in this film too, It intrigued me. Also, Steve Zahn has always been hilarious to me. I wasn't too disappointed. The movie was everything I thought it would be. I did get a lot of laughs out of it. It was corny as hell, and that's what made it so funny.

I could have done without Peter Dante in this one. Luckily, he doesn't come out in the film too much. His voice is annoying. Also, Jonah Hill is hilarious, but that "hick" accent was kind of stupid. He should have just used his regular voice. Justin Long did okay. He's improved a lot since doing that shitty Britney Spears film "Crossroads." All their antics and hijinks worked well. Some of the cameos added to the humor.

Bottom Line - If you're a fan of stupid, corny, and fun comedies, then you should check this movie out. Otherwise, wait for it to come out on Comedy Central.

I'll say it; This movie was boring.
4 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This isn't the worst movie of all time, but it sure does drag. There was way too much singing and dancing.

The mumble character was annoying after a while. I didn't care if he ever got the other penguin's respect or not. The other penguins were just as annoying. The only interesting parts involved Robin Williams and those "mexican-ish" style penguins. Britany Murphy is better seen and not heard. And please, no more Elvis songs. Fat Joe is Fat Joe. They captured him quite accurately as a penguin. Even in an animated film, you want to punch him in the face.

I can't believe this film beat out Cars and Monster House for best animated feature - at the Oscars.

If you like a lot of singing and dancing, then this is the movie for you. If you like films that don't drag or waste time, then don't ever see this movie. It's a snoozer.

Good night, Mumble.

Snooze Fest!!!
22 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I tried and tried to stay awake for this one, but I couldn't. It was just too corny and boring.

Cameron Diaz is lousy actress, Kate Winslet was kind of interesting, and Jack Black wasn't that funny. Jude Law..........never mind. This is the typical romantic comedy without the comedy. It has two women swapping lives because they think their own life is lousy. I can understand that, but what I can't understand is why any normal moviegoer would be interested in sitting through 90 minutes of a movie dealing with that subject.

I must also point out that it was a bit unnecessary (and lame) to see Cameron Diaz talking out loud when she's surfing the internet. Not to mention that Cameron Diaz has a very goofy and annoying laugh. I liked her a lot better when she was in THE MASK.

Kate Winslet wasn't too bad though. Her story was a little interesting. I think the movie might have done better in theaters if it had eliminated all of Diaz and Law's scenes. At least it was better than Miami VICE.

If you ever have trouble sleeping, just rent THE HOLIDAY and your insomnia will be cured.

Saturday Night Live (1975– )
OK, name on comedy that isn't funny anymore.
30 September 2006
The last few seasons of SNL have been terrible and disappointing. I'm ashamed of how poorly written these sketches are. Not to mention the fact that many of their sketches run way too long. Also, most of the musical guests that they have on the show lately are nothing to cheer about. However, it seems that the musical guests are the funniest part of the show. Some of the cast have the potential to actually be funny. Unfortunately, they're on SNL. I heard that some of the cast was fired this past year. I can't wait to see the changes that are being made for the new season. Actually, I can wait. I don't see hope for this show making it past the 2006-2007 season. It's so sad. Long Live Mad TV!!

The Ring Two (2005)
3/10
It's okay to view once or twice.
12 May 2006
Warning: Spoilers
When I first heard about a sequel to "The Ring," I was optimistic that it would surpass the original. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Take in mind that this sequel came out after Scary Movie 3 - which parodies scenes from THE RING. The Ring 2 had a lot of scenes that looked too abstract and corny--they looked as though they belonged in Scary Movie 3.

I'm not going to say all of it was bad. I enjoyed the cameos by Elizabeth Perkins and Sissie Spacek (CARRIE). The new possible love interest for Naomi Watts in this sequel was pretty boring. I don't think many fans cared whether he lived or died.

The "Aiden" character rans his course in this sequel. It was bad enough that he was in the first film--trying to make him like Halie Joel Osment in "The Sixth Sense." That part was lame. In THE RING 2, it is even worse. If I had been a character in this film, I probably would have yelled at the kid for being so damn rude to his mother. Maybe it wasn't the character--it was probably David Dorfman--who tries to sound like a grownup in the movie, and in real life. If you've ever seen THE RING 2 DVD, you will know what I'm talking about.

One thing about the DVD that is enjoyable is the short film "Rings." It's a story that happens after the first film and before the second film. It involves the character that is seen at the beginning of the second.

To sum up, it's a decent film. But, it is not nearly as good as the original. I did, however, (SPOILER ALERT) like the ending in part 2. It is a much happier ending.

Absolutely Dreadful
12 May 2006
I have seen some extremely boring talk shows in my time, but this one takes the cake. There was never anything appealing about this show to me. I had never taken naps in the afternoon until I started watching "ON AIR...." - just kidding. However it did help put me to sleep.

Ryan seacrest looks like a regular Joe. True-he has the looks that drive many women wild, but he is also pretty boring. I'd rather see Bobcat Goldthwait as the host of "American Idol." To sum up, I'm glad that "On Air w/ Ryan Seacrest" is no longer on the air. Now if they would just get rid of "The O.C.", I would the happiest man in the world.

No; This show is terrible
20 April 2006
The previous reviewer may or may not have had a bad day, but that didn't matter. They were right in saying how terrible this show is. It is completely unoriginal and corny - but not the kind of corny that you laugh at. It's sad. The characters have terrible lines and the canned laughter is a bit much. On the other hand, the canned laughter seems to know when things really aren't that funny--because the laughter is weak. The only reason I saw the pilot was because they happened to show it on a Thursday night during "The Office" time slot. I set a timer to record the office, and instead I find this poor excuse for a show. I don't see this show getting better. I watched the second episode just to see if things would be better. Of course, I was even more disappointed. I would have to say that this is the worst comedy I have ever seen--if you can call it a comedy. I don't care if it cancels or not. I just hope that they never postpone "The Office" to show "Teachers" in it's place again.

The Office (2005–2013)
Hey Hey Everybody, Ice Cream Sandwiches!!!!
5 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Anybody who has been watching the show since it's first season knows what that tapeline means.

What can I say about this show? It is funny for a number of reasons. There is no studio audience, which means there is no pressure to come up with one liners. There is no lesson to be learned like at the end of an episode of ""Full House" or "Step by Step"--Man, I hate those shows. Also, the uncomfortable silences within each episode make it even funnier.

Of course, that format of comedy is not new. Such shows as RENO 911 and THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW used that format which made them equally as funny as THE OFFICE.

I haven't seen the original BBC Version, but if it's anything like NBC's version, it should probably be just as funny.

I think more and more people will be watching this show now that they are more familiar with Steve Carell after doing THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN. He plays Michael Scott, the Regional Manager of a fictional paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. How he got promoted to that position is a mystery. In fact, how he still has a job is a mystery. If you've seen the show, you would realize that if there are any bosses like him in real life, they probably wouldn't keep there jobs for very long, or worse, they'd end up in jail.

He is a jerk to his employees, but it appears that he doesn't realize that he is a jerk. That's what makes Steve Carell so funny in portraying Michael Scott. There are also a number of other characters on the show which are just as funny. Rainn Wilson's portrayal of Dwight Shrute (Assistant to the Regional Manager - Later episodes as Assistant Regional Manager)is the guy you love to hate. He is the ultimate kiss up and the funniest thing about it is that it doesn't really get him anywhere. Rounding up the cast are John Krasinski, Jenna Fisher, and B.J. Novak (co writer of THE OFFICE and formerly of MTV's PUNK'D). They are a great supporting and funny cast just by playing off of Steve Carell. There are other cast members in the show that are not featured in the opening credits.

All in all, the show is great, funny, and somewhat realistic. I hope that it last for many years to come.

Good Skateboarding movie; even if your not a big fan of skateboarding
12 August 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I finally saw lords of dogtown and I wasn't expecting much. I'm glad I was wrong. I enjoyed this movie quite a bit. I think it's interesting to learn about the Z-boys. I know little to nothing about skateboarding. I have a skateboard, but I hardly use it.

That movie had a few unknown actors in it as the main characters. The real guys who these characters were based on appeared in the film too. I thought that was pretty cool. Also, you can never go wrong with Johnny Knoxville and Tony Hawk. Emille Hirsh did a pretty good job here too. I didn't think much of his performance in The Girl Next Door, but here he really shines. And, it's about time we see Rebecca De Mornay in movies again.

Heath Ledger was the biggest surprise to me. I didn't even recognize him until after the movie was over. I hadn't paid much attention to the beginning credits. Heath Ledger is definitely one of the best character actors for the new generation. I think he will definitely have a long career in acting.

Although the movie has some intense scenes, I would say that it is basically a feel good film. I hope the director isn't upset that I think that way about it :) Anyway, I give a thumbs up to "Lords of Dogtown"

Gigli (2003)
3/10
Not as bad as I thought , but I can see why many critics hated it.
21 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This movie has the hopes of being a good film, if it wasn't for a very poorly written script (and J.Lo is in it too; I liked her when she was just Jennifer Lopez).

Anyway, the main plot of the story is a good one. It is all the extra crap that they throw into it that makes it a very boring and sucky film to enjoy. There is lots of pointless dialogue that has nothing to do with anything. Most of it comes from J. Lo's mouth, so I guess they gave the dialogue to the right person. It's a shame the Christopher Walkin got to spew out some of that terrible dialogue as well. I'm a big fan of his, but I have to say that his role in this movie served no real purpose at all.

Ben Affleck is a good actor and I am a fan of many of his films. I just don't think that he is a very good character actor. His New Yorker accent (or whatever the hell he's supposed to be) seems forced. He had some pretty decent lines in the film though.

Al Pacino was the man. His role was the best one in this film. At least his role served a real purpose. SPOILER!!!I found myself glad when he shot Gigli's boss. I'm surprised nobody else had shot that character earlier in the film. He was completely obnoxious and the actor who played the character sucked at playing it.

So there you have it. That's what I think of the movie. Martin Breast is a lousey screenwriter, but then again I couldn't do any better. I guess there's hope for me if I ever decide to write a screenplay.

Grind (2003)

Adam Brody is the Jar Jar Binks of Grind
21 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Grind was a pretty funny film and it seemed to have an understanding plot. But how in the world did Adam Brody get a role in it. How did Adam Brody get a role in anything. I wouldn't even have cast him in Full House if the show had still been around today. Anyway, Adam Brody aside, the rest of the cast made the film enjoyable.

I especially like the cameos by Tom Green, Bobcat Goldthwait, Dave Foley, and Bam Margera. It was interesting that Bam came out as an a**hole in the film. I'm just curious. Was he supposed to be himself in the movie? If so, why is he credited as "Chad" on this website.

They even had a little "Dazed and Confused" reunion, since Jason London and Sasha Jensen are in the movie as well.

If you're a skateboard fan, then you'll most likely be a fan of this movie. If you like a good comedy, then this film will do okay. I have at least 15 or 20 comedies that I like better than this one.

Don't get me wrong, I still recommend it.

Funny show, but some of those panelists need an ass whoopin'
18 July 2005
I think the show is funny (for the most part). It's just that many of these panelists seem to think that they are always right. I'm here to tell them that they're not. Some of them should be made fun of. Rachel Harris gets on my nerves. I'm surprised nobody has talked about that little wart under her lip. I know it's a mole, but what's the difference. And who's the guy with that major gap between his two front teeth. He makes Lauren Hutton and Madonna look like they have Brooke Shields teeth. BTW - I think Brooke Shields has very pretty teeth.

It's only a matter of time before VH1 or VHr make a show called "I Hate The People that Talked about I Love the 70's, 80's, and 90's". If they do make a show like that, I'd like to be on it. :P

Quantum Leap (1989–1993)
Nice 3rd Season, but looks just like syndicated versions
6 June 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Don't get me wrong. It's really cool that they left the original season 3 openings on each episode of Quantum Leap. But, this was the first time that I remember recording each episode from its original broadcast, and I was disappointed that every single episode on this collection had the grainy look--just as they appear on sci-fi network. I know for a fact that "Black on White on Fire" had a more "high definition" look during it's original broadcast. Why didn't they leave it that way? I am also disappointed, once again, on the songs being changed on most of the episodes. Why didn't they leave it the original way? I feel like I got ripped off. I also noticed some ugly changes when I purchased the "Seinfeld Season 4" DVD Collection. The frame rate on the "tonight show" sequences on "THE TRIP" and the "Jerry" sequences on "THE PILOT" look like that of "Bowling For Columbine" or "Farenheit 911"--however, those two movies had an excuse: They were on the big screen. Even the Jackass Movie frame rate was improved once it went to video and DVD.

Anyway, the point is, who was in charge of putting these DVDs together. I bet it was the same people--therefore it was a little bit of a rip-off.

To get back to Quantum Leap, I hope that the future DVD releases are done in a lot better fashion. And a request for Universal; when you get to season 5 of the show, please try to leave "Nowhere To Run" with all the original music. I really believe that those songs best represented that episode, and changing them would really screw it up. That episode had a "Forrest Gump" vibe. Please don't change it.

Anyway, if you're a big fan of the show, then it's a must have. Season one has definitely been the best released version of the show. Hopefully Season four will have extras. Well, that's all for now. Thanks.

Strange Love (2005– )
Weird Show; Weird Guy and Girl, but still Entertaining
10 May 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I liked watching Flav and Bridgette on the surreal life. I think it is cool that they got their own spin-off show. However, Flavor Flav still annoys the hell out of me.

What is with that guy? Sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or take him seriously, especially when he gets mad. That episode where Flavor Flav loses lots of money andhe says "Yo(echo), (crooked mouth), everybody listen the #$%^ up."--That just makes me laugh my ass off. He looks like a moron most of the time.

Bridgette Neilsen is the perfect woman for him because she looks like a moron most of the time as well.

All-in-all, it's a good enough show to watch. I just wouldn't own the DVD if there ever is one.

Spin City (1996–2002)
Great show ......Until Heather Locklear Came Aboard
11 April 2005
Jeniffer Esposito was the hottest chick they ever had on the show. She was ten times better than Locklear. Don't get me wrong. I like Heather just as much as the next heterosexual male, but I don't think that comedy is for her. Anyway, enough of that.

Michael J. Fox made a great comeback with Spin City and Barry Bostwick really showcased his talent for comedy in this show. I first became familiar with Barry Bostwick in "Weekend at Bernies II." His role in that film was hilarious--he was probably one of very few actors that was funny in that movie. Anyway, I knew him from that and I just knew he would kill on Spin City.

Alan Ruck is "DA BOMB" - NUFF SAID Also, I saw Michael Boatman and didn't think he would be that funny. Since I am a die hard Quantum Leap fan, I recognized Boatman from an episode of Quantum Leap. However, the character he played was serious and tragic. Anyway, I'm glad I was wrong because he was pretty funny in it too.

Charlie Sheen came along and was funny enough for me. Apparently he wasn't too funny for the ratings. Oh well.......everything must come to an end some time.

My favorite Television series of all time
3 April 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I love "Quantum Leap". I also really like the fact that they are on DVD now. However, I noticed that on the third disc, side B from the Season 2 set, it says that there are bonus features. Where are they? How do I access them. Anyway, this is a great show and it cancelled way too soon. Also, I hated the last episode. I wish it hadn't ended the way it did. I've noticed that a lot of the soundtrack on the Season 2 DVD has been replaced with other music. "Call Me" from Blondie used to be on the episode ANOTHER MOTHER. "Georgia on My Mind" from Ray Charles used to be on the episode M.I.A.-which I find really odd because they even give reference to that song in the episode. At least they kept the original music for GOOD MORNING, PEORIA--Although strangely, "Tutti Fruiti" isn't featured in the cliffhanger piece that appears at the end of the BLIND FAITH episode. Why were they changed? Anyway, enough said--great show--great actors. Thank you, Quantum Leap.

Viva la Bam (2003–2006)
Good show; just please never show Compton Ass Terry again
22 March 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I like Viva La Bam a lot. I've a big fan of pointless shows--when they are funny as hell. Jackass was a dream come true. I was very disappointed when it was cancelled, but luckily there is this show to fill the void. Bam Margera and his crew are very talented, even though they usually use their talents for stupidity. They are all funny guys and I get a kick out of when Bam slaps Brandon in the face.

I just wish Bam would save a slap or two for that "Compton Ass Terry" fool. That is one of the most annoying people I have ever seen on television. I don't see how the guys on the show (or anyone for that matter) can find him funny. He needs a good slap--along with the Ying Yang Twins and Flava Flav.

Other than that, it is a good show to watch and it always puts a smile on my face when I am feeling down.

What's with all the complainers on E! and Vh1
5 February 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I like the I love the...shows. They're pretty funny, but sometimes the people that comment on them whine a little too much. Not to mention that they seem to think they speak for everybody when they state their opinions on certain topics that appear for each year on the series. For instance, they sure talk a lot of smack about the movie "Twister". Most of them seemed to hate it, but I liked it quite a bit. I don't care if some parts seemed a bit inaccurate. That's what I liked about it--the fantasy.

Anyway, I also mentioned the E! channel as well because they seem to have the same celebrities on all these countdown type shows. There is always a big group of these so called celebrities that seem to think they're better than the people they are badmouthing on these shows (I love the 90's, Best Week Ever, 100 outrageous celebrity moments, etc.) However, there are the select few that make shows like "I love the 90's" enjoyable to watch; such as Michael Ian Black, Hal Sparks, and even Juliette Lewis. Rachel Harris kind of sucks.

To sum up, it's a cool show but some of these celebrities need to lighten up.

P.S. - Scott Ian from Anthrax sucks too.

Very Funny Film
2 November 2004
Warning: Spoilers
I had heard about Napolean Dynamite in the summer but I did not see it until some time in October. Anyway, I like the story and all the characters in it. I also like how they show the "popular" people ending up being the biggest jokes. I also like how they show that only fools who are really into themselves would (POSSIBLE SPOILER) appreciate music like that tongue and cheek "Backstreet Boys" garbage. Also, being hispanic, I like the fact that they had a Mexican character (Pedro) appear in the film and that he also ends up (OTHER POSSIBLE SPOILER) victorious by the end. If you've seen it, you know what I mean. Anyway, that's all I have to say about this film. Good Story, Decent Acting, and an all around feel good film for all of us who have ever been treated like dirt because we are different. Thank You, Napolean Dynamite!!!

Bad Boys II (2003)
Funny movie; better than the original
14 March 2004
Yeah. That's right. I said it. It is better than the original. I enjoyed this film. Martin made me laugh my ass off, especially in the scene where he is high on ecstacy.

The only thing I did not like about the film were the matrix-style special effects. They weren't really necessary. I know that Michael Bay is on an all time high after his success with Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, but come on man--know when the quit.

Anyway, the rest of the film was good. Even the villain had his funny moments. I know a lot of critics have given this film bad reviews, but then again they liked the 1996 movie Emma-now that would drive any sane person to suicide. Oh, and I usually agree with Ebert and Roeper on their choices for best and worst films, but not this time. If they ever read any of these user comments, I'd like to tell them that I really liked Bad Boys 2, and that I own the DVD. I watch it frequently. I might even get a t-shirt made saying that I am the proud owner of the Bad Boys 2 DVD-j/k, but there you go.

If you're a fan of Martin and Will, then this is the movie for you. If not, then go buy some Nsync video or something.
